@@userk7dy love red velvet, but they haven't done something creepy _like this_. their creepiness is way more subtle or quirky sometimes, never this eerie; both (artms' birth and rv's peek-a-boo, russian roulette, chill kill) are dramatic, but still very different in tone. chill kill is like 'the shining', birth is like 'hereditary', both great, but *very* different.

Oh my days this song is genuinely everything I’ve been missing in kpop. Actually interesting concepts, genuinely experimental music, and inciting real emotions within me. The art and videography unsettled me, but I was also so excited as we saw new sonic ideas being introduced throughout the song. I’m now even more excited for the album!!

I love that none of their voices overpower each other. They feel completely balanced.

I’m so glad Birth won because if any of the other songs won it would’ve been so generic because it’s been done before. LOONA is known for their wide range and I’m so glad Artms’ Birth is going to be added to that range and expanding the variety that LOONA is known for. This might sound strange, but this song sounds like if I put mental illness to music. I know that the intended theme is an unsatisfactory romantic relationship, but this really feels like a conversation between me and my inner demons, namely in the form of depression and social anxiety. I wonder if anyone else feels the same way because when I view it from that lens, it makes the lyrics somehow even more heartbreaking. I don't say any of this to glamorize mental illness, but the way. I just feel so weirdly seen in the lyrics here 😌

I know. Like I mentioned up the comments, the wide artistic abilities the Loona veterans occupy is impressive. And I'm still waiting for Head in the Clouds or some similar promoter to get all 12 of them on the same stage again somewhere. Even if it's "Oh, hi, I didn't know YOU ALL were here! Hey, let's sing a song together!" It will happen.

i know orbits (ourii and cloo included) say this a lot but genuinely nothing like this has ever been done before. no dancing cuts, no performance aspect. rarely a kpop music video at all, everything from the sets to the incredible art is like a picture from a storybook (a really messed up one, but still). this is such a a unique and incredible concept, one that is fitting for their debut. they're more mature now, with more to offer and i can't wait to see what comes next for them.

i know this MV doesn't get as many views as it deserved, but this is art, this is investment, so please keep making MVs for other premier songs. One day these plants will grow and fructify. ARTMS and the crew will get the fame and recognition the deserve as ARTISTS and blueprints of K-pop industry.

I agree, this concept is very artistic, dark and melodic. Similar k-pop groups with creepy concepts would be Dreamcatcher - Chase me and Red Velvet’s latest MVs. But they don’t compare to this level 😮

The closest I can think of is "Oh my god" by G-idle, and even still, it didn't reach this level of dark horror concept. Truly, Loona will always be one of a kind

Pre-debut LOONA was the reason I wanted to go to art school and get into photography and videography. Last september I finally took the plunge and decided to enrol myself in photography. Now with ARTMS, this music video along with their concept is exactly where I'd like to see myself in the future. This isn't like generic kpop. This is what I'd genuinely describe as artistic and experimental. Wauw. Hope to one day be working for a label like Modhaus.

when i got into loona i quickly started to realize how many artists we have within the fandom. i know it’s quite common to basically any famous kpop group to have fanart made abt them but the ammount we orbits have is massive. from outstanding video edits and lore videos to drawings and paintings to the amazing photographers at the fansites to even having zsunder who went out to being hired to produce songs for other kpop groups. basically every orbit i’ve met is a graphic designer (lol) it’s a extremely art-driven and (very well) art-fed community. you’re in the right place and i’m wishing all the best for you and i know you’ll accomplish all you dream of. ❤
