Fuji Kaze is a solo artist not a band. He is 26 now, I think. He started playing the piano and doing covers when he was a teen on KZread. His debut single was Nan Nan (must check out). He writes his own songs and he is a genius. I love all his songs but here are my favs: Kaerou Kirari Matsuri (live) Shinunoga Ewa (live)

Thank you for your reaction😊 Fujii Kaze is a great artist and pianist. Please also react to “Shinunoga E-Wa"Live at Nippon Budokan. This is the most played Japanese song overseas in 2022. There are many other great songs out there, so I'd like to see more reactions to Fujii Kaze's songs.

100% agree that this video is about loving yourself, and perhaps written from the POV of an everalasting soul saying goodbye to its earthly body and that life lived. FYI cremation ritual is a fundamental aspect of Japanese culture, including incense burning at an ancestor shrine, and picking up bone fragments from the cremation ashes using hashi (chopsticks). Nice one George!

Thanks for the explanation! Interesting culture and POV. Now that you mention it, it does makes sense and it could have been his intended message, even though the music had a very joyful tone for that situation.

👍🌹Thank you for your sincere and calm reaction. The background of Fujii's music lies in his piano skills and arranging skills, which he started at the age of three. He is also a KZreadr who has covered all kinds of music (classical, jazz, R&B, etc.) since he was 10 years old, and also plays the saxophone. KAZE uploads cover songs by various artists on his CH. When he plays piano covers, he always has respect for the original song and the singer. If you are interested in Fujii Kaze before his debut, my recommendations are ①“Moon River”12years boy playdate with ELECTONE (12yo) ②Taylor Swift-Look What You Made Me Do Cover. (20yo) ③Englishman in New York-Sting cover. (20yo) I look forward to hearing your reactions.💐

Fujii Kaze is a solo artists and he is indeed japanese and all of his song is banger and the beat is different from one another my favourite song by him is Hana but before this song existed it was Garden (i really hope you can react to that but I think that video is heavily copyrighted)

He is solo singer, composer, lyricist, and pianist. His view of life and death that he shows in this MV is quite Asian and is familiar to me as a Japanese person, but not all Japanese people today think that way. He expresses this outlook on life also in the lyrics of songs such as "Matsuri," "Grace," and "Kaerou." All those songs are good, but first check out the live version of "Shinunoga E-Wa" !

I think you mean "Asian". "Oriental" is a term better suited to 19th century empire-thinking.

Japan's tradition of seeing off their dearly departed is usually a grave and somber Buddhist sort of event. The only references to it in this MV are the incense bit and the funeral portrait. It seems much closer to the Day of the Dead that they celebrate in Mexico. But generally this world view and positive take on life and death is a uniquely Fujii Kaze thing. xD I like your genuine and thoughtful commentary, and especially the fact that you just take in the song all the way through without pausing and without messing with the audio and visual. I dont dislike pauses since every reactor has a different style of reacting and I dont blame those who mess with the audio and visual but some reactors kinda take these pauses and tweaks a wee bit too far which kind of destroys my enjoyment of them, making me stop watching them, or watch them a lot less, the latter being still somewhat fun to watch react despite all the issues I have with their style and/or editing. Yours is on the very opposite end of the spectrum of those who take it too far so I really hope you won't get copyright struck for it (cos apparently a lot do it for that reason). Thoughtful commentaries like yours are especially nice to take in when it comes to Kaze's music, which is both enjoyable and thought-provoking in so many ways. If you're going to react to more of his stuff, I really look forward to witnessing your journey :)

Hi there, wow thanks for such a nice and insightful comment. I know what you mean about the pausing, it can be annoying and break up the flow of the song. Some reactors do it because they think it helps with the copyright thing but I find that's not necessarily the case so I just let it play through. What can happen is that the video doesn't get monetized which I just let it happen since I don't want to mess with the audio and video like you mentioned. I will definitely be reacting to more Fujii Kaze soon since I really enjoyed this track and it gave me good vibes, despite the apparent grim meaning of death. Welcome to the Channel!

Most people get quietly emotional or reflective as I think it should be. Nothing is as irritating as a person who can’t stop talking and squealing. I liked your take on his music a lot and that you listened first. Fujii Kaze is a very lovely artist. Thank you.
