Front flipper is not my favorite deploy method and the clip is not reversible, which I understand because of the shield, but this is one of my favorite knives. Flipper does actually work well, great blade profile and comfortable in the hand.

One opening method.. and I don’t even care? Sheesh, that thing is masterfully designed.

I have nothing against Artisan (I love my Arion) or this specific knife, but thanks for an honest, objective review. I don't often see that on many knife channels and it's refreshing, even when I don't agree.

The finish on my Satyr is just like this Weyden and it's sloppy looking. And that's my second one because I sent my first one back to them it was so bad. I'm finding their quality control to be pretty poor unfortunately. Their customer service was good though.

Same with me. Both my boa and my Satyr sand polish finish are cloudy and sub par compared to some I've seen. And the internal stop pin on my Satyr was so off-centered that when the knife closed the blade was massively off-centered. Another thing I hate about the sand polish is that it shows blemishes and scratches so badly and easily compared to other satin finishes. I actually wish that they would just do regular hand satin or belt satin finish instead because both of my knives are scratched and I haven't even used them yet, only given them a sharpening and somehow both of them have scratches on the blades now, I'm guessing from some diamond dust or something, and now the blades look like shit on both from the scratches. Never happened on any other finishes or knives that I've owned and I own a lot of knives

This reminds me of a Canadian belt knife. I like it.

Really loving a lot of the stuff that artisan and cjrb have been doing lately, but I own the boa and satyr, and the sand polish on their S90V is very inconsistent and it also shows blemishes and scratches really badly... It looks nice, but I wish they would go back to regular belt or hand satin finish. I still love the knives though.

Gorgeous knife, but I'm out due to front flipper is only deployment method. Probably would have been out even if it wasn't the only deployment method. Also don't dig lack of lock access.

I have never once mistaken it for a swastika. No one is going to think you have a swastika on your knife and artisan is not paying homage to anything like that obviously.

@@QenaitheCustodianGuard I know they aren't paying homage to it, and I don't care what others think. I don't like the logo. Never have, never will. If they change it, I'll think about buying from them. Until then, I won't buy.

@@calebdlaraIf you understand that AC isn't pushing a saucetica in their logo and it's obviously not what the design means or even looks like, then what would be the reason for not liking their logo enough to not own a knife if you like their designs? You say it's not the fact that it's reminiscent of said emblem, yet you won't buy a product of theirs specifically because of the emblem. My point being, it's not any uglier/wackier/tackier than any other brand logo on any other knife company (if you are indeed not correlating it with the not-see logo). If you look at Kansept, Miguron, Remette, and any infinite other Chinese OEM's logo, it's about par for the course in simplicity, aesthetic, and just normalcy; it's just a few intersecting and connecting lines after all. I'm not trying to convince you to like it by any means, I'm just more or less confused by the fuss of it if it sincerely doesn't represent what you're insinuating it doesn't. FYI if the logo were to be accurately depicted with Artisan's then technically it would be the universal logo for "Peace" in Buddhism. The not-see logo "arms" face the opposite direction, which is to the right not to the left like in Artisan's. The logo depiction of "peace" has been around for thousands of years and was reverse mirrored and hijacked by the SS because of its simplicity.

@@wes.killed.it.5511 I'm not reading your whole novel. And I never said it wasn't because it resembles a certain emblem. It is because of that. I know the company isn't trying to homage that emblem, but for me, it looks enough like it that it's off-putting. I don't like it. It's really not that deep. Edit: I did end up reading your whole comment. And yes I know the history with Buddhism, but I personally don't associate the emblem with Buddhism at all. I'm not familiar, nor interested in that religion. So my dislike for it still stands. I naturally associate it with the former German organization, and my reaction is dislike. Hope that clears my point of view up a bit. 👊🏻

Ya the logo isn't really an issue and most people know that. The few who are bothered simply don't make much of a difference. The rest of the world moved on. Not because history doesn't mean anything, but because it simply takes too much energy to be bothered by it.

This is one Artisan that I would pass on just because of the blade shape but that’s just me!

It's a beautiful knife, it just NEEDS a thumb hole.

I love this knife, but there is some weird stuff going on with it as far as actually getting ahold of one is concerned. Pretty much everywhere seemed to only get a couple units with several retailers are listing it as "discontinued" even though it just came out. just weird lol
