I served in the korean army back in 2006 to 2008 (ROK army, 5th infantry div., field artillery), and we did 1 joint training while i was in service (I’m sure there were more, but i had the privilege and honor of just one). Although the US military is world renown, all of the guys that i interacted with were just so down to earth and humble. I felt as if the US military guys were like my brothers. I have immense respect for those of you in service. Thank you for being our friend.

My grandfather was in the Royal Navy from just before WW2 in 1939 to 1946 & was on the Heavy Cruiser HMS Collingwood with nine 12 inch guns, 6 fore and 3 aft each shell weighed ⅓ of a ton and when the ship fired a broadside of all 9 guns at full elevation the whole ship would tilt over 45°, and that would actually deafen you if you didn't have your battle stations ear defender's. I'll find some of his pictures and post them later on.

Perhaps it's just me, but some of the movements of the soldiers seems extremely smooth. Especially on the opening ten or so seconds, as the reloading sequence takes place, it has an unreal feel with the way the soldiers are moving. Perhaps it's just the recorded frame rate or some other mundane explanation.

@Seek Truth Being an artilleryman does not mean being immune to the dangers of the battlefield. You can still be on the receiving end of enemy counterbattery fire, and if the situation gets really bad, and I mean REALLY bad, you may have to resort to firing over open sights, like Civil War artillery, which means a really valuable asset is in VERY SERIOUS danger. For towed artillery, counterbattery fire is a particular risk, because unlike the self propelled guns, you can't easily pack up the battery and move, also known as shoot and scoot, nor do you have any protection against that fire. If the battery is unlikely to move anytime soon, they would be very likely to dig in the guns with sandbagged gun pits and shelters for the gun crews.
