The second international seminar on application of artificial intelligence in metallurgy and materials, organised by the University of Leicester and the Unviersity of Science and Technology Beijing, through the good offices of Professor Hongbiao Dong (Symposium Chair) , Professor Jianxin Xie (Symposium Co-Chair), Dr Chinnapat Panisawas (Chair, organising committee), Dr Jenny Shepard (Co-Chair, organising committee), Andrew Dunsmore, Dr Huadong Fu, Risha Jadeja and Zihui Dong.
In Part 1, there are lectures by Professor Hongbiao Dong on "metallurgy and process sciences for applications of AI in steel manufacturing", followed by Professor Harry Bhadeshia on "empirical learning in materials science"
