Nice work ^_^ What type of linear actuator is it? I mean: volts, size... And also, Do you know a way to control the speed of the opening of the wings? If I want to open a little slower for example Thanks

since it is basically just a dc motor the simplest way to control drive speed would be adding a potentiometer because then you can then change the speed as you need it I created a little schematic here imgur.com/a/sjafK basically all you need is - chordless 12v drill (to take out the battery so you have a cheap and rechargeable battery) - potentiometer - 3 way 2 pin switch - linear actuator - red wires (would reccomend 0.75 mm² to 2.5 mm²) - black wires (also 0.75 mm² to 2.5 mm²) - a fuse socket - a fuse with a matching size for the actuator (easiest would probably be using car fuses). find out how many Ampere it needs when it is working quite hard e.g. with a multimeter and the buy a fuse fitting this value or the next bigger fuse.

Hi, wondered which size and what type of force/weight specs is the linear actuator used? Also what sizes did you cut for the metal frame? I’m attempting similar and a bit lost on really which articulate to use as I want a 6’ wingspan

I suppose you can measure the proportions by using a ruler against the screen, and you may be able to eyeball the actuator force
