Fun fact: As you get through chapters the clicking of the clock becomes faster. So the clicking sound is faster in chapter 6 than chapter 1

Man i remember my first time playing RDR2 and first introduced to Arthur and i was like "Who's this jackass? Where's my man John?" Until the later chapter i am starting to know his character even more and then final chapters i can see Arthur's final moments to make amends for what he did from the early chapter. I cried so hard in his final ride to the camp and left everyone behind so that John and the others could escape. Rest in peace Arthur Morgan, you truly are a good man.

maybe the sound of the dead eye has a meaning. Example, Arthur's dead eye is a timer meaning the time he has left to redem himself before he dies of TB, meanwhile John heartbeat means he has something to fight (a reason, like his family)

Ngl the clicking sound is really cool if u think from a perspective where Arthur was so skilled that he knew when his focus would end

There is always something extra about this game you never knew like I had no idea that arthur keeps both his eyes open when aiming and never honestly realised both of there deadeye's sounded different, Just when you think you know everything it keeps surprising you its amazing

His eyes are both open in the unused animations, its not really that deep considering ...john doesnt have.... his own body, animations exept walking, his hair texture is arthurs, changed eye colour, his face shape arthurs etc.

@@czahnnunh2263 in that version its a little better but barely, not to rant but i feel rockstar should have spent more time on the epilogue, as John's character is very off for being 4 years away from rdr1 and he doesn't even have his own model basicly... theres one image i saw where he looks like an ogre an actual ogre and another one where he has clean shaven face and long hair and looks like... some ghoul... I think the only animation which is used is his walking one but i dont remember if its correct, i know when he vomits they use arthurs voice line, even tho he has his own recorded.

@@intonerfive No. Actually there's not lol not in real life anyways. A 1 sec draw to first shot is standard. 3/4 sec draw to first shot is considered quick. !f you have a 1/3 draw to first shot I can almost guarantee its gonna be a miss

by the way the dead eye is the same for both, it only changes because of Honor. Low Honor and High Honor has different Dead Eye noises.

I have another theory that the reason for Arthurs ticking sound when deadeye is activated is because of the small amount of time he has to react quickly and draw his gun out on his opponent, whilst Johns sound of a heartbeat means that he must keep his composure during a draw.

My theory on the deadeye sounds: Arthur has a clock-ticking sound symbolizing his perfect timing for each shot (one nano second more and you’re dead) while John has heartbeat sounds for each shot is based off his survival instincts. Arthur draws with intentions to kill while John draws with intentions to survive

Bro the fact that John closes one eye while Arthur keeps both his eyes open is such an amazing detail.

That of the dead eye.. Actually has differences depending of the honor you have If its low, no heartbeat

John not being able to swim has to be admiration for RDR1 and how you die as soon as you touch water 😭

The heartbeat is there because of honor if I'm not mistaking. If you have high honor, both John and Arthur will have a heartbeat. It's harder to hear in Arthur's dead eye but it's there. If you have low honor there won't be a heartbeat at all.

In my opinion, Arthur absolutely slaps
