This mission has some of the best dialogues in the game. Actual deep thoughts, moral dilemmas... better than most movies

"It took me a long time to learn, you can never change a person. We only become more of who we really are. Perhaps you see that with your friend, as I see it with my son?" - Rains Fall to Arthur, 1899. "You look at Dutch and see a man who's character changed. I see a man who got found out... for who he truly was. We were fools to follow him. I was a fool and I paid for it, and I was one of the lucky ones." - John Marston to Sadie Adler,1906/1907. That was one of the biggest lessons I think this story was trying to teach. People can talk a good game all they want, and nobody is perfect, but in the end it's always their actions that reveal their true character.

So im a native american, cree woman and oh my god, as much as i love this mission, I can't help but laugh at how well Graham Greene (Rains fall) portrays being an elder. Like everything down to the cutting you off mid sentence so they could do something else to the long silent pauses to the small movements he makes. I am positive Graham must've improvised quite a bit, cause he's just way to realistic lmao... reminds me of my mosom (grandfather)

I dont know any Native Americans personally but I kind of got the sense that Red Dead 2 did a good job with their characters and showed a lot of respect in how they are displayed in the game. So hearing Rains Fall is accurate is good to hear because I love his talks with Arthur!

Reminds me of my granddad's second wife. A Blackfoot woman. Taught her step grand kids the ancient ability of paying attention. Eyes forward. Look, listen, smell, and feel. Rest in peace granny. I wish she taught me her chili recipe.

Rain's Fall is the example that wise men aren't bold. He wants the best for his people, but not at the cost of severe bloodshed. The Lakota deserved better. But there ain't a hope to fixing the past

That mountainside where they ride... you know which one it is. Getting me emotional every time. Sigh. Arthur's burrial place is so interesting, because sure in lore, it's Charles who burried him so ofc he would choose some place close to his heart. But it's also symbolic of the place where Arthur found some enlightenment on his way of life, where he found peace and moved past his violent ways. Truly it's where Arthur revealed himself, to others but also to himself. And it's shown by the eagle (if high honor), Arthur having found some spiritual above that does somehow make this journey worth it. Arthur didn't get burried near Beaver's Hollow even tho he died close to this place, and you could argue that's where his heart lied for most part of his life, with Dutch's gang, this family etc. But Arthur found himself in these final quests, thanks to Rains Fall and the people he freely helped. And Charles made all the efforts, to go and pick Arthur's body from that mountain, travel all these miles just to find the perfect resting place for Arthur.

Wait....is this what RDR3 is gonna be about? Playing as Isaac Morgan who's toying with the idea of following in his father's footsteps as he receives missions from lawmen, gangs, and even Dutch's gang in their camp? That would be interesting. We played both games thus far as two middle-aged men past their prime, why not play the Old West from the perspective of the youth? Then the game transfers gameplay to Arthur Morgan who sees the graves of his son and his ex as he vows to get revenge against the gang that killed them for ten measly dollars, but when he's found the last gang member he sees a hard-working man with a family and a little daughter who's pleading for his life to be spared, that he tried to stop them from shooting Arthur's son, etc. Arthur snorts at him saying he won't forgive him for being part of the killing of his son, but since his daughter needs him he'll let this one go, but not before he leaves his mark on him shooting the ex-gangster in the leg confining him to a chair for the rest of his life. That's where Arthur gets his "Revenge is a Fool's Game" motto. He played the game, and ended up only creating more pain and misery in the process. What do ya'll think?
