this pushed me to sculpt my own version of the Last Ronin from the TMNT comic of the same name inspired by the OG Toyline from playmates. Heavy piece but the paint application became the funniest part.

This is so nice! Well done. Did you make your own rake (the twisty wire one) to shape the clay? I was wondering what type of wire is used because aluminium is probably too flexible

Oh I just saw that you answered my question already…it’s turpentine! Also I think these types of sculptures are perhaps less challenging than your realism ones, but I much prefer it. It’s more fun!!

Amazing work! I'm doing a polymer sculpture for my portfolio and all your videos have been so helpful! Though I'm wondering how do you get the toy out of the wood? Does u just pop it off? And would turpenoid work just as well as turpentine?
@bricesavina
Жыл бұрын
Thank very much ,once cooked the piece is easily removed from the base, you can see in the other videos I show exactly how I remove it from the base at the end , concerning Turpenoid i never tried it , turpentine is perfect 👍🏻👍🏻😊
Silly question but do you use glue at the beginning to lock on the clay to the armature or is there another reason?
@bricesavina
Жыл бұрын
There is no silly questions 😊 I use clay adhesive from sculpey to stick the clay to the armature 👍🏻
do you bake it on the wooden base ? wouldnt that catch fire 😥😥
@bricesavina

Yes it does not burn 👍🏻
Is there a reason why you add on little bits at a time to build up your sculpture instead of wrapping the armature in a large chunk of clay?

hello friend, your works are very good, a question, when you pass the brush and the rubber brush, do you do it with the turpentine? Do you know if it can also be applied with the plasticera? Thank you very much in advance, good vibes!

@@bricesavina I went out and bought some epoxy along with everything I need to start sculpting, except I don't have a good polymer clay. Is Fimo any good? And do you recommend using soft or medium clay for the main bulk then apply firm for the outer details?
@bricesavina
