@Neon Pizza I will always love the first pennywise. However the guy Tim Curry said himself that when he saw the new Pennywise performance, that even HE HIMSELF was getting goosebumps

What I find fascinating about art is that he’s silent like Michael and Jason, but he’s full of personality like Freddy, Ghostface, or Pennywise. He conveys so much without saying a word.

No I’ve seen interviews of him and he genuinely enjoys it. Also T2 only had a $250,000 budget and I imagine the first even less so he’s clearly not in it for the money

I recently found out that the actor doing Art the Clown is a trained mime, and it honestly makes so much sense. His expressiveness without saying a word is insane

I got the chance to meet him today at Comic Con, he’s a really sweet guy. I’ve mentioned how much I love his performance as Art and how it Terrified me (no pun intended) and he said “well I did my job” Highly recommend meeting him

I love how he leans into Damien as Art/David moves over towards him at the end. And then the horn honking at the end? Classic!!

He’s the scariest clown I’ve EVER SEEN, pennywise ain’t got shyt on this guy 💯😟

It's been said so many times already in the comments, but it's hard to overstate just how perfect David is as Art, this is Robert Englund levels of perfect casting. Seeing even the interviewer feeling uneasy around him in such a casual setting really shows off how both Leone's design and David's personification have come together to make such a brilliantly unsettling monster. Art absolutely deserves to become the next horror icon, publically recognized right there along side the likes of Freddy, Jason, Pinhead and Michael Myers. I simply can't wait to see where this franchise goes in part 3.

David Howard Thorton is actually a really wholesome guy out of character. He's so awesome!

The sweetest person plays the most violent killer 😂 David rocks!

The guy is a total jerk to half of his fans and is constantly bashing half of the country and cramming his political beliefs down everyone's throat. He has the worst case of Trump Derangement Syndrome I've ever seen on a human being. He's clown. Not just in the movie either, but in real life.

watched both movies and all I can say is that this man is an incredible actor and clearly puts a lot of work and practice into being able to show so much emotion while being unable to talk. seriously amazing

Art is an instant Horror icon. He's rightfully earned his spot alongside the all-time greats like Freddy, Jason, Michael, Pinhead, Chucky, etc. Terrifier 1 and 2 are both amazing and I can't wait to see more of him.

I had the pleasure of meeting David Howard Thornton at a convention and he told me a story of how he was going to do a photo op with fans in costume and a con staff member who was supposed to be his bodyguard was in the elevator with him as Art and he was scooting away from him, refusing to make eye contact. Basically even the guy who is supposed to be there to protect DHT is too afraid to look at him when he’s in costume

That whole gun twist was fucking perfect. The chick had plenty of options to kill him prior to the gun being thrown into play. And it really shook it up. Plus the way they got rid of it was hilarious.

The actor playing Art is outstanding! He infuses the character with such menace through humorous expression, but it doesn’t come across that way! Truly frightening and horrific. Unlike any other movie monster. If they can come up with a compelling backstory for Art, they have a horror icon for the ages!

2 years later and now terrifer 2 is absolutely amazing, hes way better then pennywise and now hes an OG!

that guy in the middle was freaked out the whole time

I couldn’t help but keep my eyes on David Howard Thornton the whole time, he was amazing at staying in character during the whole interview. I loved the face he made during the mention of the female heroine, that just made me laugh so hard. But for being a killer clown, he was just too adorable here 😂

Amazing silent actor. Can’t stop watching Art. Props to the interviewer for not crapping his pants. The director said part 2 will come out in October 2020 but we are only getting it now in October 2022. What a long process to make a movie sheesh.

The smile, the facial gestures, the body language, and especially the teeth. A warm and welcoming smile but then you notice the colors that he represents.

It’s actually pretty funny seeing him in this context 😆.. the movie was so goryyyy, that scene when he goes inside the pizza place and sits down and just stares at one of the girls for like forever was so chilling 🤣

The clown is such a good actor

Art is the creepiest and most interesting character ive seen in new horror films in a long time,i love him!

And he's not the original. Art's original actor retired. So DHT had to step into the role for a feature film series. And he makes it just as scary as ever. He could be the next Robert Englund / Doug Bradley of this generation.

🥺 oh my god, so it was delayed for about two years, I am so glad it could be released, I loved it

I think Art is succeeding as a character and entering the pantheon of horror legends for the sole reason that he’s… simply terrifying. His character design is striking, Immediately eerie and great. The contrast in black and white, the little too hat, it’s simply iconic.

Boy has no business being that talented and Gorey!! He's awesome

Art is gonna be the next big horror icon. I grew up a fan of all the old school stuff and I’ve really been digging these movies especially how they are shot and the acting. Delivers all the cool things I love about the nostalgic horror films while adding a new and frightening twist.
