Anne Dudley is a genius on her own had had so much foresight, it's an artwork of it's own.
The Fairlight was the first electronic sampling machine. Delia Derbyshire was doing this sampling in analogue form decades before and created the iconic Dr Who Theme.
Anne Dudley needs her flowers NOW!!!!…Such a genius❤️

She is a well-known, accomplished, and awarded composer. She got her flowers. 😊
Thank you Art Of Noise for inspiring me since I was a teenager to compose the kind of music I compose. Your band along with other great British bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, George Michael, Adele and Sting have inspired me always to try to be creative. You guys did it right !! From New York City, Frank Branden. Cheers.
I love the AoN. Anne is an inspiration. I would love to meet her 😊
She is such a talented individual. So creative. I love each time i discover more and more of her work.
Thank you very much. Anne looks beautiful here.

They were one of the best in history.
Thanks for posting. AON, taking samples and symphonic composition to create such incredible melodies and musical mayhem. The perfect band at the perfect time, paving the way for groups like Coldcut and now every bedroom producer around the world.
I saw them perform in San Francisco, CA @ Wolfgang's. A small club. Unlike all the synth bands in the 80's, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they did not hide behind their keyboards. You could see the computer screens and what they were doing. I was fascinated and in complete awe. And if that wasn't enough, the drum solo for Opus III blew me away. The sampled vocals were played on an electronic drum kit. I didn't know you could do that. They brought out Duane Eddy for Peter Gunn, what a wonderful experience.
I only just now started exploring their stuff but seems to me like a lot of their stuff you would hear like in a dance club and other stuff of theirs you might hear on NPR's Echoes.
The Queen of Noise
Hugely influential!!!
Finally an interview where it's not just them hating on Trevor Horn and not talking about the music.

❤️❤️❤️
My inspiration for synthesisers among others. Pure Excellence . I can play synth songs but can't set up a microphone let alone a keyboard.😂
After 30 years I'm rediscovering them. By the way, it says 1990 at the end.
Can I say something?

Except they didn't call it a day and went on to produce The Seduction of Claude Debussy. The end.
In no sense nonsense album is never discussed by them. Used to the hits but that album is more intricate than all of them
