I agree it's depressing to listen to Wanjigi and the missed opportunities. While the SGR brought poverty to Kenyans, an express way from Mombasa to Malaba would have transformed this country.... everyone along that corridor woukd have benefited. Unfortunately, we are now payig for the SGR that does nothing for this economy.

His deals have all been meant for himself first ... They benefit others only in so far as a businessman must create value for others in order to get personal gain which is the end objective. A businessman would want the road because, as he mentioned, it's his friends who are building it with funds that he would have control and influence over. Just like the railway to nowhere was likely the work of another business person who likely made money off it + had value of their land multiply due to the presence of the rail.
