I wish this channel would get more views. Easily the most important in the fragrance community by far. I respect people's tastes, but it makes me thankful that I am of the type of mindframe where I can appreciate the importance of videos like these, and see the value in this sort of information, rather than just mindlessly look for top 10 panty droppers of whatever bottled water mainstream fragrance video any of the more popular channels release. Thank you Dr for your hard work.

Wish I could like this video more than once so that such informative gems doesn't go unnoticed.. Great content bro.. I learnt a lot more just by watching your video than I would have searching the Internet.
Thanks for doing it man i asked for it and was wanting for it. And wahat a detailed video it was a treat to watch.
Hi Nikil, I recently came across your channel and it’s been a fabulous journey through your oud videos. I myself have been an avid user of oud and bukhoor over the past several years. Truly Middle East is the best place buy oud and your suggestions of shops in Mumbai was a revelation for me, being a Mumbaikar I will visit the shops for Indian ouds on my next visit there. My staple scents are Crassna seoufi, Rouh al Aoud and Charme d’orient; although I do use western perfumes (only parfums) :P which is a sin I commit occasionally. But the ecstasy and the joy of when the oud transformation after applying on your skin cannot be compared to western perfumes...You hv been doing a good work keep it going...Cheers!
Excellent Video Nikhil. Great content and you talk with such passion.
Fabulous video as always. You should be making videos more than once a week (Sunday), we all are waiting eagerly for your uploads. Thank you for making us feel in love with Attar :)
I have wanted to learn more about Oud...and your video is extremely informative. Thank you so much for doing this. Very, very well done. Blessings upon you.

He is an excellent source of information, before his videos I knew nothing at all and now I'm so intrigued!
Such an informative video Nikhil Bhai... Thanks a ton for guiding us. Appreciated from bottom of my heart. Thank you
What a very informative, thoughtful and educated video. I am a westerner interested in bakhoor and incense fragrances for the home, clothing, personal enhancement and meditation. I have bought my first charcoal burner and a variety of inexpensive bakhoor incenses which, though entry-level, I must say are delightful. I find your video very exciting and am anticipating trying both the subtler and the richer oud aromas that you describe so well here. I like the term "olfactory spectrum" and now realise there is much much more to this than I had previously thought. Thank you also for the caveats, what to watch for when buying, how unscrupuous sellers may "doctor' the oud's appearance. I am researching with a view to a not-so-modest purchase and will investigate the links you have left here. I am saving this video for reference. Thank you again good sir..
The wild ouds in my area have been stolen by certain entities, which makes me really sad. I didn't even know what it was back then. If God wills it, I will be starting a plantation very soon, would love to have you be a part of it, in some way or the other Nikhil Bhai. Keep up the good work Ji.
I plan to try some oud wood chips on my resin burner in the future. Love this video!
This was so helpful in educating me on the basics of oud. I feel this type if knowledge will be essential in these modern times more and more for Western fragrance enthusiasts as the global oud craze continues to spread to Europe and America. Thanks brother.

Vague Oud, the Oud source is unknown, probably just a common fake Oud, adulterated young trees injected with formula don't belong to real pure Oud called inoculated.
precious information that was, for a beginner like me. really appreciate your efforts

NikhilBhai this video was also exotic, very nice and detailed insights, very helpful inputs. It will be a handbook on Oud for any one. I am glad people are getting exposed to new types of fragrances that also the traditional way. These sort of videos will start shaking (movement) in the traditional markets. Good Keep it up!!!
That was a very interesting and informative video. After watching that, I need to put on some of the Ensar Oud oil samples that I just received for testing. I'm very looking forward to seeing more videos on the subject. Keep up the good work!

Outstanding video @Nikhil someday please do show us your collection
Thank you for this lovely and educational video. I just came from Dubai and have been enamored by oud and bakhoor. I have at least a dozen assorted charcoal burning oud burners, but will purchase a ceramic electric one for the precious oud I have. I have been gifted an oud sampler and bakhoor from a sheikha from Ajman, all labeled so I can now appreciate them truly, and have been very careful with burning them as they are so precious and smell so good. You’re right about the strong loud smell of charcoal…I want a more subtle and lingering one. I also like your technique to wait till the charcoal is ashy instead of just hot before putting the oud or bakhoor. I will also buy some mica sheets as I believe that will create a barrier to help the burning slow down.
Aussome video bhai.... it almost sounded better then a discovery channel show .... detailed & precised.👍👌
The electric 'subitism' type incense heaters really are a game changer for agarwood.
Thank you for parting such in-depth information about one of the most fascinating scent. Nobody does better than you Guruji

Love u nikhil sir for this great video
Hello Nikhil, your videos are very informative , Thanks for making and please continue making perfume videos. There are lot of inexpensive attars, or even sprays which mention White Oud and Black oud , what is the difference between these two and their aroma experience?
Useful for Oud lovers
Excellent video, and the nicest display and explanation of variety in oudh agarwoods, thanks🏆🏁
Hey Nikhil, thanks for this video! This is some amazing hands on information. Can you please let me know if the oud wood chips from ASAQ and their likes are genuine agarwood? They definitely smell good but are they just made to look like real wood? Or is it real wood with more synthetic smell added to it? Any insight you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for this channel give us idea regarding agarwood
Also be aware that gaharu buaya or aetoxylon sympetalum is a tree in the same family as Aquilaria and Gyrinops which is the family Thymelaeaceae. It is also called crocodile wood and it is NOT agarwood though it is sometimes used to adulterate oud oils to make them less expensive. It is what white oudh is made from. It smells very bad when burnt. But at room temperature it could smell nice. EDIT: It is usually used to fool people when purchasing beads, it has a light to dark brown color and resin is seen seeping out sometimes, but this is not agarwood. The name gaharu buaya actually means gaharu big lie.
Like an expert that you really are !
Nikhil, well done. You have done a very informative and professional video about agarwood. There are so many grades or type of oud oil, is there any industry accepted standard in grading of Oud oil? I am looking to buy some oil, but from my interaction with oud oil traders, it seem like a black box to me.
I just received my first agarwood chips and I'm very excited to burn it. This vid is full of amazing information, thank you!
I love oud. Also Musk is also a great fragrance ❤️
Very informative video. I have a strong passion of oud and attars. Love and respect from Pakistan.
Excellent video!!
Phenomenal video...thank you for sharing the passion. It was interesting...what is your suggest on the different type and best agar wood for distilling oil vs burning for incense?? Thanks so much!
love the video. keep it up
I appreciate the knowledge! Learnt alot!
The only notification which has a fragrance....... Hope you are doing Great Nikhil bhai. I love Oud... Cambodian and Thai Oud is the best you should visit the old Oud tree in the Monetary in Thailand. Its the most expensive tree in the world guarded by Thai Military, Japanese offered Millions of dollars for that tree but it got retained coz of the religious importance of the tree.

Brilliant content 👌
Hey bro, thanks for sharing this information. Since you are familiar with the oud market in UAE, what do you think about stores like Ajmal, Rasasi, Arabian Oud, Yas, Hind al Oud, Ghawali, etc. They all stock oud chips at the counter under a glass. They all say it's top quality and they vary in prices from store to store. Do they have the same suppliers? I've only ever seen tourists and non GCC people purchase these chips from them. Could it be that one brand would sell oud chips for a certain price and another brand sell the exact same ones for a different price? Are they reliable just because they are brand names in this region? Just wanted to know your thoughts. Also, I recently learned that Givaudan and Firmenich create most if not all the perfumes for local brands. They have their factories here.
I found it in the aluminium columns when exchanging it to UpVc which my grandparents had got it installed and I found a feet piece well preserved in a ten feet column strangely when it was getting scraped a labourer wanted that aluminium column and surprisingly there was a wood piece inside. I immediately caught an eye and smelled it and damn that was some sweet fragrance I asked him to take the aluminium and leave the wood once it was breaken into two pieces to get it out of the aluminium column. First I thought it was teak but then when I burnt a small piece and that fragrance is indescribable... I am interested to sell about 150 grams of it . Coz I want people to experience how beautiful the aroma and fragrance it's probably about 40 years old guessing from the time of construction dark brown almost wine like colour.. the aroma is always lurking around in my room
It's good you educated us about the subitism heater and the ceramic heater. Could you link where these 2 models can be bought?
Hey Nikhil, great video! Where does one buy genuine oud in India?
Thank you. I bought all of the stuff needed to burn the bakhoor but no instructions.🤷🏽♀️
Can you do a video on oud wood that has been painted or brushed with perfume which is not authentic

Salaam, I have about 10-12 oils/attars from you and love all of them. Few of them I have 2-3 bottles for back up as I don't want to be without it. Can you please suggest best bakhoor from your collection so I can order it.
Wher can we get this and how to burn
Hi nikhil bhai, I just saw the repeat telecast of q&a on perfume guru & it was great 🖒 can you please tell me your thoughts on JPG ultra male? I'm dying to buy that fragrance. Your opinion does matter. Need your kind support in this regard.
Very informative video indeed, sir I would like to take a suggestion which quality agarwood chips should i go for..I don't have huge budget either, kindly reply.

thank you:) We have authorised Ajmal store here in Hyd, i shall visit there soon.
This reminds me of fat wood. Fatwood is created when a resinous evergreen tree dies, and all the resin settles at the bottom. It is quite flammable and is used as a fire starter, but it is also very fragrant. The best is the stuff that is almost translucent with resin. Very nice wood as well, there is a good thrill when finding it on your own in the woods.

Nikhil sir, can we reuse the oud chips or bakhoor that we burn once or do we have to throw it away after one use and get a new piece of oud or bakhoor when burning it again?
Very nice video!I had a nasty experience the past days with burning on a mubakhar probably because I didnt wait for the charcoal to burn and I placed some Bukhoor that actually smelled quite nice, but after that my room smelled like pure charcoal smoke for a week😌I also burnt some cambodi Oud from Al Haramain and it smells very good, but it smells just like a very nice smell of burning wood..I dont quite feel the resins. Is it because of the charcoal?
