I really like this one. Its very interesting, and your quotes were spot on. Quite a lot of variety of textures and mediums here, yet it doesnt seem to be over busy. I have to say I like how you usually create diagonal movement in your work. There are other effective techniques, but diagondal suits your free flowing style. Like a soft breeze sweeping across the page. 👍🤗

Well how to make art that isn’t ‘perfect’. There are scratches - uneven lines - Smokey bits - plain areas - blending colours - adding texture and how to bring it all together - thickening paper. Im not sure I’ve explained myself there??? Im new to journaling and I want to do it - be creative - arty - but it to help my mental health too. I guess making it meaningful is absolutely vital. Having a fun time and not being stressed about it too. I love your art style. It’s definitely my style too. I don’t want to be a copy cat - well im not capable - but to gain skills. Thank you so much for asking me x

I don’t know if you have any art supplies yet but if you do best advice is to start playing with them, try techniques you have seen on KZread, try to have fun and relax and don’t feel discouraged when it doesn’t turn out the way you want. It takes a lot of practice to know how things will turn out or how to fix when it doesn’t. Start in an old book found in thrift store, glue pages together and play. Less intimidating if it’s something cheap you are playing in. Use colors you love and are draw to. Nothing wrong with “copy” if it’s for learning new things and techniques and you mention where your inspiration comes from if you share online.

@@JessonArt thank you for your wonderful advice. I’ve just started an altered book and I plan to use that. ❤️🙏😘
Loved it. TYFS. I went to your Etsy shop but couldn't seem to find the little rectangular photo focal points that you used. Can you let me know where they are located please? Thanks Kate 😊

Thank you 🙏 the photo is not my design. It’s from Prima Finnabair Words you need stickers.
Lovely page spread! You don't list the image/quote stickers and I can't quite see the name of them. What are they called please or can you share a link? Thanks!

Yes I missed it. It’s from Prima/Finnabair. Thank you 💗
Could I do this technique on watercolor paper? If so I would want to gesso the paper? Thank You!
@JessonArt
Жыл бұрын
Watercolor paper and other papers soak up the watercolor paint and sprays so if you want it to flow you need to gesso (prime) it first. You can always experiment and try if it works or not and if you like it or not. That’s how you discover what you own style too. Have fun is most important 🤗💗
do you go into your page knowing where you are going to place your focal point?
@JessonArt
Жыл бұрын
Both yes and no, because I have a composition thing in my mind but it’s not always it turns out that way and I have to work with it. New video on my KZread where I talk a little about composition and where to place your focal point
when i try this, ugh, not as good as yours...i'll keep at it. thank you for sharing

Hi. My name is Jessica. Jesson is my artist name
Love to watch you work, BUT would rather hear you talk than have music. I HATE that first song. Others have over-played it to the point of me hating it.

Thank you and yes I understand you point of view. The thing is… talking on videos or doing voiceovers takes a lot more time since English is not my first language. I also have a full time job and I do this in my free time. As for the music it’s difficult to find nice free music to use in videos.
