I loved how the brush came out. And I loved the way you added shadow around your clusters of flowers. It really made them pop off the page, It's just beautiful. And you looked as if you were having so much fun making this cover.

Soft clay is so easy to use, it’s porous so it takes paint beautifully and if it’s for a flat surface then it is perfect. Plus you are not creating plastic like you do with resin … it’s a win win!

@Vicky Papaioannou • What a beautiful mixed media cover! I love rice paper and the one you chose makes a beautiful background. Thanks for the close-ups of the dimensional paste on the stencil. The texture really showed up nicely. Can you add color to this paste, e.g. with powders, inks, or acrylic paint? I love your technique of using a buffer to finish the edge. Scissors are not always the best choice. Thanks for pointing out the different qualities of soft clay & resin. Your examples and explanation of how to use resin and what to look for are the best I've seen. I've been hesitant to use resin but your demonstration and explanation have given me a jolt of confidence (if I can find room for one more thing! 😉) Adding the shadows around the focal point is a great tip that I've needed in the past when things didn't turn out as I envisioned. I've made a mental note! The way you finished the brush was amazing. I liked the handle before you added the additional colors. Once you added it to the cover, I realized how jarring it would have been with only the copper. Wonderful cover! Great tips & techniques! Terrific explanations! 👍
