No, Miles Ahead + 19 recorded in 1957. Miles Davis was unimaginably astronomical time leaps beyond Art Blakey and perhaps any other musician in any genre of his times. An obscure fact, the entire Miles Davis orchestrations with Gil Evans were all actually written, composed, and arranged by Miles Davis not Gil Evans. Why you think Miles Davis an AfroAmerican in the late 1950s walked off with all the recognition, not Gil Evans.

Besides classical music jazz is my home since I was 14 year old. My first concert was in Zurich with the 3 of the greatest at that time in 1962. J AP with first Oscat Peterso Trio. Tha came Stan Getz into the trio and it finished with Miles Davis. John Coltrane quintets. That was that keeprd me in Jazz. Now I play Piano and Harmonica and am fully in Jazz. With 80 years.

Yo, Kurt! You were able to attend a JATP session performance with all those players?! How lucky you were, my friend. Delighted to hear you’re still playing…. Where do you play? Any clubs in NYC?

@@kurtvogel2023 - what a beautiful thing being able to play privately (or publicly, for that mattter). My wife (66) plays piano as you… just in private… but couple times a year she plays at a local community show. It’s great to watch. Only playing I do is playing the records of these jazz icons:). Keep on enjoying my friend. Thanks for the conversation!

In Brussels in 1958, amazing performance of all of them. The concert took probably place in the Beaux Arts Théatre , at the occasion of the World Exhibition that took place in Brussels in that year. Someone correct me, if i'm wrong.
