This guy was like Monet when I was a kid, the art isn't so impressive now, but I love how he doesn't talk down to the kids. Just the right mix of enthusiasm and seriousness.

Like you said, not massively impressive in finesse, but showing kinds the amount of creative ways to approach art is more important!

Man! As a child born in 1983 and being brought up in the early 1990's, this was a treat. No social media, in fact who needed Facebook from 2004 when in those days when you had this? This brings back childhood memories, thank you uploader, whoever you are.
Thank you for making my childhood positive
I was grinning from ear to ear as I read the comments. Everyone's waxing nostalgic and so am I😭. I grew up admiring Neil Buchanan's art (I even remember his name so clearly) and it was mostly thanks to this show that I developed my imagination and creativity. It also helped me impress family and friends! Will forever love this show. Oh how I miss the good old 90's shows! 😭
I always wait for the big art.

as a child i always dreamt of having that kind of studio
I have such vivid memories of watching this after coming home from school, particularly one time in the dead of winter. Dark outside, cold and frosty and Art Attack Good times 🙂
I remember this show. One of the better after school shows.

I used to wonder when he was going to start using the huge props around him to create art haha, wow I havent seen this show since the mid 90s
Resolution gave me cancer, but GOD I LOVED THAT SHOW!!! Thanks for the nostalgia :'D
He was so creative when it came to creating the big images on the floor

Neil Buchanan, If you ever get to read this, thank you for being a part of my creative childhood 🦋👍🏻🙏🏼
This brings back so many memories. I loved this show as a kid.
90s was the best era in television
I saw this when I was about 4-5 years old and I never forget it!!
The thing that started my artistic career. Thank you Art Attack!
Now I know why I listen to ASMR vids 24/7 today. this guy is literally the Bob Ross of my time
Fun fact : In France, the show is presented by someone else, but the Big Art sequences remains with Neil, who is called "Neil le Grand Artiste" (Neil the Great Artist), and he is only seen during those sequences. I think it is the case in all foreign versions of the show, and that's why Neil is never seen talking during Big Art sequences.
This was the bomb when I was a kid. Any other art shows now can't beat the shit out of this, this was the best!

Hate how it's been a thing to pour paint now ( search acrylic pouring etc) since my friends and I were already inventing that(We felt like art geniouses!) in the 90's/00's but our teacher would always come and stop us because it was too expensive and not good for the environment... blah blah ... She didn't know she ruined our future KZread carrier right there 😅
What’s not to love about art attack it was funny entertaining and innovating at the same time
God when you're a kid your like it's pretty now when You're in your 20s you're just like I appreciate the art and I still have the inner kid in me saying let's do it XD
Best childhood TV show ever... I used to enjoy watching him creating art... I was inspired and motivated by this all time favourite show of mine... And today I am an artist and an animator... Doing my dream work...
this man is the only reason i still draw and paint today he taught me everything i know
The best art show during my childhood. I watched the Chinese version in China. Now I want watch again with my daughter.👍
absolutely loved the entire concept when i was small; Go Art Attack!!!!!!!
I am from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and I watched this dubbed by my native language Sinhalese .. Childhood memories for ever ❤️
Holy cow 😊 I remember as a kid watching this and being amazed at the paint circle slash effect. Now I am a Stain glass artist and painter firing glass. My thumb nail image is one panel 😊 This and Hart Beat made me want to be an artist. Wanted to be a Stain Glass painter aged four. Eight back when this was on TV. Loved art at school .
Neil Buchanan, the only man to get a briefcase full of case and not run off with it. Good Guy Neil!
It's been 26 years and this episode is still ingrained into my memory. Can't imagine how many times it must have been repeated. I even remember the feeling of watching the circles of paint being squeezed out at the beginning, and the same mild annoyance comes back to me when the paint stream goes a bit wrong.
Gosh! The big fixtures gets me so excited! I want that huge sketchbook and pen and paintbrush and ruler and marker and tube of paint!
Even just hearing the music and his and the head's voices brings back so many memories! I haven't watched this show for over a decade but I suddenly had a burst of nostalgia and had to watch it again because honestly this was my life as a child!
The talking bust used to scare the heck out of me lmao miss this show so much!
I'm just chilling in my bed searching for my childhood shows and cartoon. I miss my childhood
Oh this is taking me back to my childhood watching this and like most it just feels like it wasn't that long ago. I used to watch this with my sister then after it was finished we'd go to the local shops and buy the stuff with our pocket money and come home and have a go for ourselves. Ah the good memories :)
This was the shit and great start of the day before going to school
I loved this show!!! This might be why I love doing arts and crafts projects with my students now!
Wow, I used to love this show as a kid!!
I live in the US and never saw this until today, wish I had seen a show like this as a child. Although the music when he opened the money suitcase reminded me of Dragnet. I think I know what my son and I will be watching over the next few weeks!
I don't know but Neil Buchanan is such a great one. I've always loved the way he'd show how to make things creatively. Very Inspiring indeed.
so many childhood memories.. This guy woke up the artist inside me!!
I wachted this show from the year 2005 and i still watch it . love this show vety much . i was watching it since my childhood
I used to watch this from China! OMG!! Can't believe I again start watching this after I studied aboard.
My main inspiration to love and do art when I was a kid! Still my fav until now :'D
neil was the best host
I used to have a crush on this guy when I was a little girl. And I remember always being sad that the episodes were so short.

What a great show this was. Who knew that Neil Buchanan had a musical background. I looked him up and he is now in a band as a rock guitarist. Wow!!
One of my favourite childhood shows it taught me to use pva glue on everything :P
Im 22 now nd i watched this when i was a little kid i don't know but somehow this inspired me to become an artist and art lover
I tried a lot of these when I was younger. I'm not so sad, because they still play it here.
Who misses this show I do
My childhood 🙀
I absolutely loved this show!!! I tried quite a few of this as a kid and now I want to do it again 😄🎨
Art is always my most favourite subject! I love this childhood programme!! :D
OMG OMG IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS SHOW FOR 15 YEARSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m crying. I’m legit crying. The memories. The nostalgia. Me sitting in my grandmas house eating ramen noodles while watching this omg 😢😢😢
I grew up watching this show. Went back to my childhood when I decided to watch this now in 2018. I remember how I used to take all the blankets out of our closet amd attempting to do what he's doing. And my mom would get mad at me because after I'm done it would be a great pile of blanket chaos. lol I wonder where's Neil Buchanan now in 2018. ❤ from the Philippines.
I remember watching this with my brothers. We would always try and guess what he was going to create. such great memories!💕
Mister Maker reminds me of Art Attack... I miss it. Funny how my baby daughter watches Mister Maker and I used to watch Art Attack 20+ years ago.. each generation has their own.
I've never seen this before. he is a genius.
27 now, remember watching this show. Man memories...
Neil Buchanan's art style influenced my art when i was in elementary.
Such a comfy programme. Neil was great.
I wonder how many security guards were on stand by for the big art attack.
My childhood, in a video. Nineties child!
OMG !! That nostalgic music. This used to make me soooo happy.... ☺
Those are wonderful Art Attacks, soon I'm going back to painting 🎧🖌️🎨🖼️😎.
Not a waste, it's art. In art, you never waste ANYTHING. Not even your time.
OMGGGG ❤❤❤ That's my childhood show!! The nostalgia is real lol 😭😭
OMG I grew up watching this. I LOVED this show.
i really miss him and the clay head.
Omg!! I was obsessed with this show in Peru

One of my first introductions to making stuff. Used to watch this religiously, and days before Sky plus where recording shows was a pain in the arse. Constant race to try and keep up with him! I remember making the Frankenstein coat hanger and also the shark going through the wardrobe decoration. Fun times.
It is my one of my favourite programme I love this very much Thank you for making this programme for using ideas to make art☺😇🙋😀🏠 thank you very much
Great show, I watch this from TV when I was a kid☺
I'm due to attend a meeting to discuss fantastic issues about our company but I'm watching this instead.

This Guy was such a big part of my childhood.
I used to be fascinated with the bigger scale artworks he did like the money one in this episode and I still am :D
Now I remember why I love these instagram art posts and satisfying videos, it all started here at art attack ☺️
Very cool show. I would've loved a show like this as a kid. What fun ideas with easy instructions.
