www.vladtv.com - Late night legend Arsenio Hall chopped it up with VladTV about his favorite Hip-Hop moments from his show, and after briefly discussing the rise of Will Smith from moderately successful rapper to superstar actor, Hall reveals that the top Hip-Hop moment for him was a Queen Latifah-produced segment involving some of the '90s biggest rappers, including KRS-One, A Tribe Called Quest, MC Lyte, YoYo, Naughty By Nature and more.

@@lavelhare3723 If i remember correctly it was a Pete Rock joint, but it was never released. People have tried recreating it from scratch, but it never sounded the same. It never will, because it's almost impossible to match the exact kicks, claps etc he was using. The sample is from the legendary Bob James track called Nautilus. Many people have sampled it throughout hip hop history and is one of the most popular ones. But yes, you can try searching arsenio hall all stars instrumental for some bootleg ones.
Hands down I don't know How many times I watched that legendary cypher! Now that was a cypher!!! All talented and original!! That's the Era I know and Love!! Pure real raw Hip Hop!! They went out with a Bang!! Thats how you do it!

I'm really confused about why people can't respect Will as a rapper, he is just as much Hip-Hop as anyone else!

***** Yeah I know he was more pop but I believe he understands what Hip-Hop is regardless along with Jazzy Jeff but in my opinion I would take him over a Iggy any day in terms of pop. I don't know how to explain it but when I see Will Smith I see Hip-Hop just as much as anyone of that time or now!

to me Arsenio was the king of Late Night. You just always felt the love and for hip hop culture his choice of artists was on point. Never a dull moment. I am now that 40 year old that stayed up late as a teen to watch. Fuck BET and YO. We had Pump It Up and Arsenio. I'm so tired of Mtv getting credit. I watched Pump it UP every weekend not to mention the Apollo and Video Jukebox on Hbo.

Nice interview with Arsenio Hall. Arsenio Hall, Steve Harvey, Halle Berry, Terrence Howard, music singer Gerald Levert(RIP), Dazz Band are from my hometown Cleveland, Ohio. I like Arsenio.
People said it was the last show because the rappers said it in the rhyme lol. MC Lyte started it off by saying "this is for the last Arsenio Show"

Different time. Tours were filled with lots of acts. The 5 boroughs in NY, crossed paths more. The Tri-State area (NY, NJ, Conn.) Was popping then. Friendships were formed. Easy to see how this could be pulled off. You don't see that too much anymore.

badmnz123 what was weird about it was jay leno went on his show (with the networks authority I'm sure) to announce that arsenio was back for another season and then bang, canceled lol kind of weird, makes you wonder if something happened
