Honestly seeing that we have already qualified for round of 16 and are already top, I would like to see Nwaneri make a Champions league debut appearance, this boy just oozes class for me and would like to see how much more he grows and gets better and finally makes it into the first team

Nwaneri reminds me of one of my favourite players, Romario. He's got that same low centre of gravity, exquisite technique and ability to shoot early with very little back lift. If there was someone he should model his game on, it's him...

Never a Saka cover, he's not comfortable there at all, watched him in the U17 WC and he didn't have a good time far wide. Get him more central and let him cook.

Nwaneri looks well suited to this team. None of the goals were particularly world class, but are a reflection of the team understanding each others strengths & finding Nwaneri at the right moments. Very impressive team performance and it's difficult to pinpoint how he will develop. Congratulations Gooners!

Ethan Nwaneri deserves a UCL debut tomorrow, idc what anyone says qualified, can rest players and if arteta doesn't play him it confirms what i already know that man does not promote youth players

It's at times like these that I kinda miss Europa. He and Lewis-Skelly would have their debuts by now if we were there. But I guess Foden didn't need Europe to make his break at City, and also Rico Lewis. If you're good enough, you're good enough. Hopefully Arteta sees it that way too.

@@tetasoso9581 Yes, but none of these players were integrated into the first team. Saka as talented as he is, may not have integrated into the team, if he was found in the academy by Arteta. I have seen it even preseasons, we don't give these youngsters enough minutes, Emery gave Martellini critical minutes during preseason, that fast tracked him into the team, not sure if Arteta would have done this.

The thing is, Arsenal and City are in 2 different places atm when it comes to their freedom to integrate youth. Arsenal are under huge pressure to win a major trophy as they haven't won one in almost 20 years. Youth takes time to develop and that's time that won't be given by people who are now impatient to see Arsenal produce major silverware. City on the other hand won the Treble last season and are in the hunt for their 4th PL trophy. By contrast, there isn't nearly as much pressure on them if they start using youth that will take time to develop.

Pep has been at City for 8 years spending billions, Arteta at Arsenal for less than 3. Pep has intigrated Foden (City before Pep so not his) and now Lewis in nearly 9 years? Foden has played less in 9 years at City under Pep than Saka at Arsenal in only 5 years..... Easier to intigrate youth when you can surround them with 10 £60m players.
