I remember when the album came out. I was in middle school and was just beginning my lifelong obsession with the Beatles. I was a huge Wings fan and was excited to buy my first "new" album from Wings. I remember reading the review in Rolling Stone which tore it apart. No one cares about that reviewer today.

i'm coming here from the future to say this one is criminally underrated. madison owns her frequency and makes this song hers. she has this uncanny ability to execute perfectly in her unique way. likewise, the band achieves what they strive for: they take what they need from the original and then say "we got it from here". i would take an album from this combo, please/thank you. p.s. madison looks like a long lost linda+paul child.

It's really great but I'd argue she really doesn't make it her own. It's just a very well done, but ultimately incredibly faithful, cover version.

I had always thought that Back to the Egg (1979) was an album with two masterpieces: “Winter Rose/Love awake” and “Baby’s Request”. Now I know there’s a third one. Scary Pockets, Madison, your cover is amazing. Thank you!

I tried going a day without listening to Ms. Cunningham but her music played in my head anyway, so here I am again!

Madison... my favourite artist of 2020

Seeing my favorite Madison Cunningham with Scary Pockets was TOTALLY unexpected today, but a very pleasant surprise. Just last week I was binging on Madison's work and wondered whether I would see her make an appearance with Pomplamoose.

love Ryan's sound in this when he's doing the horn parts, has some of that Hohner bite in it to remind us of the clavi part in the original. also kudos to whoever laid percussion down on this; really ties it it together!

A superb tribute to McCartney, the master songsmith, by my favorite 'one flew over the cuckoo's band'! This song actually is a bit crazy. It sounds like a pleasant poppy song, but you feel something strange is going on. It has 2x4,5 bar couplet, a 2x6,5 bar chorus, and a bridge I can't figure out. Harmonically it's also quite weird. I'm not sure which key the couplet is in, A? of E?. The chorus doesn't seem to have any key. Your rendition is so clean and so tight. Just what this gem needed to make me really hear it and appreciate its brilliance. Thank you!

It’s always been a favourite song of mine - and you’re right, it’s a really unusually composed song with some interesting time and chord shifts. The brass at the end of the original Wings version always blows me away! The rhythm part was also sampled by Erykah Badu. The rest of Back to the Egg is worth a listen - there’s some great hidden Macca gems on there!

Have only just came across this. What the hell have I been missing??? This is absolutely brilliant..Gorgeous, smooth voice backed up by some clever work. Marvelleous cover...love it.

This was McCartney writing at his very best level of composition once again. This song has some seriously interesting things going on especially in how he uses the Maj7ths among other things like the utterly sublime bass lines. You guys did a really great job on this one and the vocals are just flawless and very smooth. Many congrats:)
