jesse536801 definitely. Arrows best seasons have dark endings. Season 1 had Tommy’s death and the destruction of the glades, season 2 had Oliver losing his mother, season 5 had the island explosion and season 6 had Oliver literally lose everything he worked so hard to protect.

At 1:55 Slade has a tear. He knows this is fucked up but he can't control himself. Manu Bennet is incredible in this role.

Oliver killed me when he saw that his mom was sacrificing herself to save Thea. when he said "mom want are you doing" he looked like a little boy. And Thea crying after Slade killed Moira. This was the best scene of arrow.

It was his voice in the background too at 2:16 saying "Mom, please don't." I didn't hear it when I first saw this scene, but I hear it now.

Near the end, when Slade say "There is still one person who has to die" and walked over to Thea with his sword out, I was freaking out thinking he was going to cut off her head. Thank god that didn't happen!

John Jones He killed over 500 people, including his son. And if his son wasn't among the people who died, he would not have felt guilty in the slightest. And even that he doesn't truly feel guilty about, only sad, because he blames it on the people who wronged him in the past rather than to actually reflect on his decisions. He also brainwashed his daughter after practically begging her to join his side, only to kill someone even though all that did was put an even bigger target on his back. Then the plot bends over to keep him from dying. Then Oliver just HANDS the League of Assasins to him, a terrorist. It's not like Malcom tricked Oliver or anything. Oliver just straight up handed the fucking League over. Bullshit. Malcom Merlyn is a Mary Sue.

Oliver passing out was just great acting. No over dramatic shouting just a man full of shock he can barely speak so overwhelm with emotion his body just fell over great acting

This was a fun night...

When Moira told Slade that her kids would live and he finally looked her in the eyes. He didn't see her as a casualty of war, he saw her as a warrior. He respected her and chose not to shoot her in the head. He gave her a warrior's death by stabbing her with his sword. Her courage didn't change his mind about killing someone, but it did earn his respect. When he apologized, I believe he was sorry. Sorry he had to kill the one person that was the hero Oliver couldn't be when he chose Sarah over Shadow.

I'm sorry. I really am. But Slade yelling CHOOOOOOOOSSSEEEEEEE is one of the most over the top things I've seen. Just cracks a smile every time.

“Close your eyes, baby” will never fail to hurt, ow

I truly feel Oliver’s rage at this. And his despair. Everything he’s learned, everything he can do, and yet Slade has managed to outthink and outmaneuver him. It’s that helplessness that hurts the most before Slade drives that katana into Moira. This is a nightmare he probably dreamt, his inability to protect his family from the darkness that he has experienced. Him dropping to his side facing where his mother fell was symbolic. To him this is his greatest failure. He and his mother just reconnected and she even knew he was the Arrow and gave him her blessing. Moira may have done some terrible things, but she didn’t deserve to die like this. Wilson is right and remarking about her true courage. It’s the courage of a parent to sacrifice everything for her kids. Clearly something he had forgotten in his madness. Oliver lost the chance to repair his relationship with his mother and share his world with her. At this point, I can understand how defeated he feels. He feels lost and his world just shattered. Seeing his mom fall took all the fight out of him in that moment.

This scene is so haunting. I cannot believe how lifelike it felt and the intensity that it carried. I think this scene capped off what is the best episode yet to date.

Almost 10 years later this is still an amazing scene. I rewatched this series so many times and I still find this scene so chilling and intense. I like how Slade was showing emotion when he was going to kill either Moira or Thea. He was teaching Oliver a lesson and that was just chilling to me.

I think any chance of Oliver and Thea not being completely fucked-up and dysfunctional for life just went out of the window. Oliver better have something very, *very* painful in store for Slade. Murdering a mother in front of her children... what a sick SoaB.

Everyone is saying that arrow was bad after this season but all seasons were good except the 4th one

No. Except for the 5th one every season after 2 was a steady drop that resulted in the show getting worse and worse. It went from a superhero show to a bad romantic drama, Oliver went from a good leader to Felicity's bitch, they killed off Sara then brought her back and moved her to Legends of Tomorrow, they killed off Laurel just to pander to Olicity shippers who saw her as a threat to their "socially awkward girl gets rich, good looking guy" fantasies. They couldn't use Laurel as a self insert because Katie Cassidy's better looking than the Olicity fangirls and they couldn't stand it. They then replaced Laurel with an evil alternate universe of herself who they gave a badly done redemption storyline and they also brought in Dinah Drake who was just a replacement with the comic book Black Canary's mother's name.

8 years later and this scene had solidified Slade Wilson/Deathstroke as my all time favorite villain

God thea's reaction makes me cry everytime. Perfect tragedy

I went back to watch this scene to see if it was just in my imagination that season two was far better than season three. It's not in my imagination. This shit was intense.

i remember when Slade was my favorite character back on the early island days lmao. Well fuck me sideways.

People point out Slade has a tear in his eye, and that has to be the Slade who was Oliver’s friend, buried underneath the madness of the Mirakuru. He knows what he’s doing is screwed up and wrong, but he can’t stop himself, the Mirakuru won’t let him think clearly, which is shown in season 5 and 6, Slade’s back to his old self, not the monster here.

Oh man, I really like Moira in Season 2, especially after all the flashback, talk she and Oliver have. :(. She is such a great, supportive mother. Not seeing her anymore, is just ...sad :(((

Right I got chills the first time I seen this scene especially when is says choooooose cause I know him from the Spartacus show he played crixus so in a way I knew he wasn’t fookkng around

My favorite moment of the entire series, when Moira finds out Slade was on the island with Oliver. I just love that scene.

Truly the most powerful moment in the arrowverse and one of the only moments I've ever shed a tear besides the season 1 finale.

Poor Moira. She died after having not only strained her relationships with both children, but she also never got the chance to warn them that Malcolm's alive. Made even worse that Oliver was forced to watch both his parents sacrifice themselves to save him so now he has no parents and this is the same sadistic choice that got Shado killed in the first place. He just keeps losing everyone he cares about😥😢😭

When Slade Wilson promises something.....he delivers. An extraordinary villain

This is by far one of my favourite scenes of the Aroow

Ngl the part when slade mentioned, "I thought I had known true despair until I met your son" got me crackin up🤣 And they need to make a beat out of "CHOOOOOOSSEEE NO, NO"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and when moira got stabbed I really felt that even if she wasnt a good person😔 Best scene in arrow. In my opinion slade is tying up to be the best villain alongside with Prometheus. Sladechad an understanding past connection with oliver which is also why this scene is so good, and Prometheus opening oliver to his truths that even himself couldnt find was unbelieveable. And also whenchevkept mentioning "everything you touch dies" is connecting to this moment. Alongside with "see you on the boat Oliver" I enjoyed both of those seasons the best

I think that's what they're going for. Malcolm and Oliver forming an unlikely alliance to take on Slade, while also expanding on (or wrapping up) his relationship with Thea.

When I saw this scene I was really hoping for Merlyn to come to the rescue too :( I think Arrow and him are going to team up to take down Slade.

Merlyn more than likely would have let Thea live and try to kill Oliver and still kill Moira.

slade seems to have a softspot for Thea, in another scene when all 3 fight and she doesnt kill him he looks at her admiringly, almost like hes impressed she never killed him. Probably because he saw her as being much different from Oliver, he has always had a soft spot for her though, as you can see when he is in starling city.

This scene was so intense the first time I saw it. I watched it with my dad again because he just started watching Arrow and it was still intense for me because rewatching this show with someone who hasn't seen it makes it just as intense

Willa Holland’s acting in this scene goes absolutely insane. What event did she have to draw on to be that emotional lol

Slade is the biggest simp lol. Shadow didnt even like him back 😂😂

Let's be honest, up till this scene I was not a Moira fan. After all her stuff the first season and her loads of stuff the second season I did not think she was good. But this one scene really helped me understand her. Even if she did bad things she did those for her children. They were her top priority even if she didn't show it. This scene changed the way I felt about her.

I love how this scene actually scared me

This scene made me cry so much, brilliant acting, this show deserves an award for this scene.

Its the way that Thea has no idea whats going that kills me

I started watching Arrow just this year this season is ever intense

A few scenes earlier Oliver: Mom, let Thea see you do something good.

Arrow season 1&2 were the best seasons in the whole Arrowverse!

Now i see why Oliver didn't blame barry for going back to save his mother he has been through the same pain

Thea's screaming breaks me.

this scene was really strong i could almost feel Oliver's pain when he fell to the ground speechless

after all of this years... this is still my favorite scene in the arrowverse.

Honestly...this is why I prefer DC over Marvel when it comes to the live action stuff. Death actually means something in the DC universe. It's powerful and helps build the character of the hero. In Marvel...they just come back from "Tahiti". No one ever really dies......DC they die and stay dead.

Have you seen the Amazing Spiderman 2? Death certainly means something in that! I agree though that people don't seem to die easily in the marvel Disney films or at all for that matter. The latest Spiderman (technically a Sony production breaks this convention in the best way possible)

I agree with you there. The marvel ones need to gain more fixed death that means something. Certainly with agents of shield I hope we see some more shocking and permanent deaths like the one at the end of turn turn turn before the season is over. My largest wonder is whether sara will die in arrow and laurel will take over in season 3 as canary. She knows arrow's secret so she seems in the opportune place to as she respects him also.

legofreak86 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a shit movie, it's on the same level as Batman & Robin(1997) Andrew Garfield was horrible, Jamie Foxx playing a blue electric guitar fish was brutal, Dane Dehann played a whiny little bitch Harry also Norman caused Gwen to die NOT Harry the writing was horrible it's just an around a horrible movie SPIDER-MAN 3 WHO PEOPLE THINK IS ALSO A BAD SPIDER-MAN FILM IS BETTER THAN THE AMAZING SPIDER-SHIT 2!. The only & I mean the ONLY good thing about both ASM movies is Emma Stone & her & Peter's chemistry THAT'S IT THANK GOD there are no more of those piece of shit movies with Andrew Gayfield it would be hard sitting through the rest since Gwen died.

i've seen plenty of series and movies, but this scene is the saddest and most powerful scene in the entire industry. I cry every time I see this.

I didn't expect Slade of all people to play so dirty. Before I really wanted Slade to live by the end season 2, now I don't care so much. After this though, who do guys think is the archenemy of Arrow? Merlyn or Slade? I'm going with Slade.

I think I'm going to be rooting for Slade if that happens. Despite this scene, I still prefer Slade over Merlyn. Merlyn is just plain evil. With Slade, his mind is being distorted by the Mirakuru. Merlyn flat out wanted to kill the Glades.

John Doe But they both have one thing in common, they were both influenced to do what they have done by the death of someone they cared about deeply, Slade - Shado and Merlyn - Rebbeca (His wife that was beaten to death in the Glades)

True. But with Merlyn he went a bit too far in my opinion. Slade did go as well but the thing with Slade is that his mind is poisoned and distorted with the Mirakuru. Merlyn was perfectly sane when he chose to kill the people in the Glades. Not to mention all the people he killed at Unidac Industries who built the earthquake device. In my opinion, he's even more evil than Slade,
