@@Rek_Rc I have the vorteks... Well I have a bunch of arrmas lol .. but yeah that thing rocks... Though I never ran those wheels and tires or the truck shell (all still brand new on the shelf)... I turned it into something else.. still a vorteks at heart but it'd take you a minute to recognize it 😉

The vorteks is making a case for becoming my favorite 3s stadium truck.

Honestly I love how cheap the boost line is. Perfect place to start with rc or use as to build into a monster. Also 100% agree with that tire recommendation 👍 I'm mounting a set now, wheels are good too have been durable for me.

It actually has the same chassis as the granite and shares much in common, but it's lower to the ground and turns better as a result. The granite is probably better for stunts, but the vorteks handles better and makes a better racer against your friends. The best time to get a vorteks is now, I doubt they'll get any cheaper than they are at the moment.

@@xanielton.714definitely get the longer arms. For $30 u won’t regret it. Got them on mine and it’s a night and day difference. Still got the wild side to it but much more stable.

I agree, it got somewhat overlooked compared to the rest of the Arrma 3s lineup, but it's a fantastic car that can do everything rather well.

Hmmm idk about best for that price, in the case of controller features, yes. The car itself? Maybe if it had a center diff like AE stuff. That being said, I added one to my cart with that sexy red body lol

The Vorteks is my first hobby grade RC. Got it in the middle of last year. Upwards of 50 packs through it. Absolute blast. Now I have a Kraton 4s v2.5 to run back to back.

It's just a good RC by EVERY measure. There isn't really anything it can't do on some level.

I have my Senton 3S (my first Arrma and first name brand RC), I bought a Mojave 4S and Mojave 6S. And I have a Vorteks boost and Granite 4x4 mega. The Vorteks is brushed stock right now other than the 4x4 kit, but I plan on getting a Hobbywing 3S system for it and giving my Granite (out of commission lol) the Vorteks ESC since the mega ESC died on me. I love em all but the 4S takes the cake IMO. Tougher than the 3S, handles better and is cheaper and easier to fix than the 6S. The Vorteks is for sure awesome. Can't wait to go 3S on it

It will fly on 3s if you get an 18T pinion for it. Or does the boost already have that pinion?

@Rek_Rc the Senton boost has a 17t because of the smaller tires. But yeah. And all the brushed trucks have a weird 91t spur. That's one of the main reasons I've waited so long. Dont want to deal with gearing plus new electronics yet

Wow, those tires are infinitely better than the ones on my Big Rock! Very nice. Do you think they could handle 70 mph no problem? Do you know if they made any improvements to the drivetrain like with the weak axles (just made it to the end of the video.... I suppose not the axles!!!) diffs, and input gears? Excellent video! I loved the drone shots on the baseball field!

I think the tires would be fine at 70, and the axles do pop from time to time but haven't actually broken yet.

I got a vorteks 4x4 3s blx for my grandson. I changed wheel hex 12mm for better Variety of wheels. But now running 17mm wheel hex and 10mm wider and running buggy wheels. It's a great Skatepark basher great videomate 👍. I've got youtube video Skatepark basher. Mondo's mod's 😃

I put the high speed pinion in the 3 s typhon. Bro the typhon now 😳😲😲😳. Y got to try it out for ur self. But the vortex love it.

Bought mine back when it first came out from my local hobby shop for $330. Just started upgrading it to rpm wide a arms, typhon wing, 4068 motor, and metal 4s diffs. The vorteks is a MONSTER!

Looking to buy a vorteks I bought my first rc car mjx 14210 and as the car is good I feel it has cheap components. So I’m upgrading the comps but feel like I need a arrma or traxxas car and leaning to a vorteks or kraton

If you liked the MJX 14210, you'll adore the vorteks. But all those cars you mentioned are great.

update the BLX 100 to the 5.02 firmware that has LVC control now and set at 3.2v. Run it with a 15 tooth pinion which is best for bashing.

It had a 20T pinion at the time of that speed test, I didn't know that until I ran it. Stock gearing it runs 55

I have an arrma 3s blx green body. I ran it once and put it back in box with plastic back on it. I have it listed on marketplace for $210 and cant even sell it. Im trying to sell local without shipping but guess I'm gonna have to 😂

Between the two, I'd go Vorteks if you want to go fast, and be stable in almost any environment.

They are both great, but if you're doing big jumps, I'd go BigRock, if you're just going fast and want good handling with the ability to do medium jumps, go Vorteks.
