@@Travelwithchris Hotel name? How much you paid per night?
For travellers who would like a cheaper option to the city, you could also follow the signs to the airport bus, which usually is about half or 1/3 of the price of the train. Not only is it cheaper, it also takes you directly to more districts with less transfers needed. For example, you could take the A11 bus to Causeway Bay directly for about US$5.4, where many hotels and shopping malls are located. If you happen to stay in Mong Kok, where the Ladies' Market and street food are located, you could take the A21 bus for about US$4.4. The drawback is that the frequency is usually lower than the train, and some buses have yet resumed full day service, so ask and check before travel.

I can say that the bus is a much cheaper option than the MTR. The train is fast but, bus much more economical.
Chris, Hong Kong is on my bucket list. I will be taking notes from your videos. Keep doing what you are doing, you are an inspiration!

I am glad you love HK. Please share our friendiness to everyone !
Loved this video. It almost reminded me of the first time I visited HK in 2000 with so much excitement. Been there 9 times. I last went in 2017. I hope to go back for my 10th visit in the next year. And yes the public transportation system is excellent. It sucks that here in Southern California we have to drive so much and deal with so much traffic. I look forward to the rest of the series and your meeting with Virginia Chan.

Thanks a lot Don! Man I was so excited! I definitely will be back many more times! The city is extremely impressive and I loved every minute of my time there! The videos will be great!
Dude this video moved me. I just found your channel last month. (I was in Europe and didn’t want to return to the US). Hong Kong is special to me and I’ve wanted to go since I was a child. It’s a lot to put here but I need to go for my mom. I love your videos and your vulnerability in the beginning. You’ve inspired me and I’m booking tickets. Maybe that’ll be my first KZread vid and I quit my job and become a digital nomad, too!!
Glad to hear that you got a great first impression of Hong Kong! As a local, I would say that if you don't live in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui or Tsing Yi, which are near to the Airport Express stops, it might be a better choice to take a Airport Bus. They connect to all major districts and suburbs, so you can reduce a lot of changes. For instance, you can hop on the A29 bus and swich to local bus at Choi Hung to your hotel.

And the fares are much economical compared to the train.
1) I love watching your journey getting to 🇭🇰. 2) I never knew about Travel Pass, but because of your tip in this video, I am joining. 3) I hate being thirsty on flights too. 4) I also never knew you could use an iPhone and link a card to it to pay for stuff by just tapping your phone. 5) Great video!!
Bro, really enjoyed this series. I live here... from Canada... it's been rough the past 3 years. Great to see some positive content about the city again!

Wow I had no idea! Thought it was only India! Thanks a lot for the love always 🙏🏻❤️
Heres a cheeky tip: its much faster to take MTR most the time, if your staying for a bit longer or want a nice souvenir, you can go into pretty much any MTR station and look for the info booth and buy something called "octopus card" for about 200HKD (£20). With this card you can put money into it to travel, pay for food or pretty much anywhere with octopus reader. I think the max you can put in at once is like 5000HKD (£500) but its more than enough since a drink is like 13HKD but this is much more convenient for travel and small buys 😁 enjoy hk ppl! (Kid octopus cards are also a thing, under 11yo i think).
I have been to Hong Kong airport 4 or 5 times on my way to Minneapolis from Colombo. I always knew Hong Kong is a big city, but the view near your hotel makes me wanna go there. I almost felt Hong Kong like a city that I used to know.
Once in the past I tried to watch your videos but I couldn't understand your engilish assent . Your accent was little bit difficult for me to understand at that time but now I can understand almost everything you say . That means my english knowledge is improving day by day . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good shit Chris. I’m looking forward to your Hong Kong series. Also looking forward to your future travel destinations. Chris this is my first time watching your channel and I absolutely love your content. It's so awesome you got the chance to live out a dream-by going to Hong Kong. I did something in 2022 that I was quite proud of myself: I went on my first solo trip to Las Vegas, NV for a convention to, not only meet some of my favorite actors, but also to meet some friends as well. It had been a lifelong dream of mine ever since I was a teenager to do something like that, and that dream came true that August!! It was one of the coolest experiences of my life and I was thrilled I was able to do something like that. I made a deal with myself that year that once a year, I was going to try to take one me trip-away from my comfort zone that is home. I may try and go to San Antonio this year to a con if I can afford it..but unsure at this time if that'll be plausable. We will see though!
I really enjoy your videos and your genuine excitement about the smallest things is priceless it's the best thing you can do as a young man to travel around and enjoy yourself I remember when I went to Hong-Kong before the new airport it was called Kai Tak and your plane came over the hill landed basically in the middle of the city With high rises on both sides of you and ended at the end of the water and you were pretty much there in the middle of the city it was awesome So enjoy yourself!
Thanks Chris! I'm headed out to Hong Kong tomorrow, this video is gold for me...

Would have had a much better experience flying with Cathay Pacific as that is their home base. I think you misspoke when you said your flight leaves in 30 minutes.
