We are aboard the Norwegian Escape on a transatlantic or repositioning cruise from New York City to Rome.
Our ship has arrived in Barcelona, Spain on day 14 of our European vacation.
We are excited to see this port for the first time and explore Barcelona. We booked the Let's Take a Selfie shore excursion and we loved it. Our goal was to take as many photos of the city's architecture as possible. The transportation on the coach bus was a very efficient use of our time in port. We got to go to the must see attractions on our list. We did not have too much time at each location, but it was enough. I also got my bucket list photo that I always wanted in front of the Sagrada Familia.
The Sagrada Familia was more impressive in person than all the photos I've seen. Although we did not have a time to go inside, I was happy to see it from the outside.
Someone I met said that she loved Barcelona and I asked which areas? She said, all of it. I agree with her. Since I'm a lover of architecture, this destination was by far my favorite. I couldn't stop taking pictures. I hope to be back someday soon. Hopefully, be able to eat at a tapas bar too.
I am traveling with a first time cruiser with so many questions.
Next, we will be arriving in Cannes, France. We are excited to see Cannes for the first time.
