It's ridiculous that he considers 3 days in jail as being tough on crime!
That's robbery, not shoplifting.
Three days is laughable! Make it a six month misdemeanor and a one year felony over a $500 theft, and they'll think twice.

3 days in jail with 3 meals a day, a roof, showers and tv what a good way to punish criminals with tax payer money! Put their asses to work and make them pay for their stay!

Here I am working hard and paying my bills while people are just stealing like it’s okay. I don’t even have this much nerve to do this. The embarrassment alone would get to me. Their faces are now plastered on tv. Ridiculous.
As a customer I wouldn’t let them get away, everyone needs to stop them. Off to prison!
