Arpeggios For Beginners (synthwave tutorial)

Музыка

I’m very excited to announce that the Track In A Month Bootcamp is once more open for enrollment! If you’ve been producing synthwave for 6 months or more and have a hard time finishing full length tracks, then this bootcamp might be what the synthwave doctor ordered. Next cohort will kick off May 27th, 2024. Find the details here: synthwavedojo.com/track-in-a-...
In this video I’ll show you a few things about arpeggios and how to use them in the context of making synthwave.
Get your FREE account at Synthwave Dojo today and take the Synthwave Fundamentals Learning Path for FREE (over 26 hours of synthwave education): synthwavedojo.com/courses/syn...
🥋 If you dream about becoming a Synthwave Black Belt (advanced producer), I run a community of synthwave producers on Discord where you'll find support and peers to help you on your journey. This is a FREE community but it is exclusive. Only those actively seeking to build their skills will be allowed in. Absolutely brilliant again Alonso! I have loved synthwave for many years and have dabbled in music production in the past. So during Covid lockdown when I had a bit of extra time on my hands, I decided to create a synthwave track. It didn't quite have the sound and feel that I was after so I ended up getting pretty frustrated and haven't touched it since. I've decided to give it another go and your videos are helping me massively! All the frustrations I had are being covered in your videos (it's as if you're making these videos for me!! 😂). Thank you so much.

Good content. Personally, I prefer to create manual arps and have full control, a lot of times going beyond boundaries of automatic arpeggio

Same here. It’s the most flexible approach!

@@SynthwaveDojo I like it very much. Neat little machine, easy to grok, but fairly deep if you take the time to explore. I work on a computer all day so having something physical to tweak by hand and ear often results to happy accidents I am often pleased with. Really like "simplified" way to do FM synthesis (I have a Volca FM but actually creating patch on it is way beyond my skills ahah - maybe a possible future topic?). Do you also use hardware synths ? Which one do you like best ? (beyond super classics like Juno, Jupiter, Oberheim, Prophet etc.)

@@remka2000 I don't have any hardware synths but use a MIDI controller with tight integration with the Arturia V Collection so the most important controls are mapped to faders and pots which makes things almost like having a real synth. Maybe one day I'll buy a Juno X or a Jupiter X. I plan to address FM synthesis in the near future since I invested a lot of time learning it over the past year. If I could choose any vintage synth, I would have a hard time picking between a Juno 106, Jupiter 8, Prophet 5 or OBXa
