1:42 - what a clear definition! I never could understand how it works. Now it's so simple. Many thanks Marc!

Great tutorial thanks 😊👍 I still find it less musical than all the other functions. Still great for computer sounds though lol. Some nice harmonics going on when you spend time tweaking the S&H very quirky synth, that's why I like it.

Thanks for making these videos, this explains the sample & hold function way better than the manual! I’m fairly new to synthesis, and have a question for you. What do you mean when you talk about the ‘audio range’?

at 9:35 would you say it's similar to ring modulation? it sounds a little bit like it

What is the best option for a speaker if my budget is fairly low. I've considered monitors and keyboard amps. However, do I need a mixer to play through monitors? I tried playing through my bass amp and obviously there was not much in the high frequency department. Headphones are ok temporarily but I'd like to be able to hear it out loud. Thanks!

Just as an example of practical experience, I have had some fun using the 8-channel mixer section of a Sansui WS-X1 (which popped up under my nose out of nowhere in 2005) for a bass guitar, 2 or more synthesizer models and a mic with a line out from its headphone output to a small Peavey bass amp combo with at least minimal positive results. It's no substitute for a P. A., but it's a decent, random idea. I no longer have the Peavey combo (in its place a Peavey stack which I could only dream of taking with me to the stage), but plugging the WS-X1 into the combo was simple and effective just for in-house fun. I would've plugged my guitars in there too, but I've already got other guitar amps.
