This may be the best bit of advertising I've ever seen for a Synthesizer. I'm sold.

My 1973 white face didn't have this video. Didn't have this website. Didn't have this computer. Surviived a car fire 1981 with a handoff by a GSO firefighter. Thanks man. Sold it in 1995 and spotted it last year on eBay in Oregon. Good luck ol' buddy.

I love this! Great graphics, great sounds, and the ARP Odyssey is my favorite synth! Have I mentioned the fact that I play my new Odyssey for three hours on every gig and it never goes out of tune?

+mootbooxle Serious question, why would it go out of tune depending on the time you're playing it?

+Sjoerd Jansen Old analog oscillators were notorious for drifting out of tune over time. ARPs were generally better in this regard than Moogs anyway, but the reissue is almost bulletproof! I love mine :-)

Like the scene in Close Encounters where they communicate with aliens using an ARP 2500, and "Eye Divine Cybermancy".

I was linked here thinking that this was a video game until I read the description. This is still a beautiful commercial, regardless of why I'm here.

Love this infomercial! It makes me thankful to own one. Also, the Close Encounters reference is easy to pick up on and enjoy.

Fantastic video and music. The Odyssey, an outstanding synth since 40 years! I love my 2015 Oddy, not only for bass and sequences also for building pads, duophonic is so much more than only two notes at the same time! Still wait for other legendary ARP stuff like the Omni, Solina String Ensemble or the 2600

Analog is ok, sampling is ok, fm is ok, they are all just tools. Subtractive analog seems dated a bit imo. A popular fetish among electronic musicians though.
