I knew Rubicon 3 would be a pretty large planet since it has so many superstructures sprawling across the surface, but I never imagined it'd be this big. It also means that the Vascular Plant is massive, considering it juts out of the atmosphere, and Xylem, while much smaller than the repaired Vascular Plant, is still a city-sized colony ship. It makes the explosion on the Fires of Raven credible since something so huge, on top of stocking up untold amounts of Coral, blowing up in space would spread out to an entire star system.

The planet isn't actually very big. The outer shell is around 7km tall, as measured by the altimeter in Ocean Crossing and Illegal Entry. And in the cutscene after mission 50 there's a few nice shots of the planet's curvature and the vascular plant with the outer shell structures sprawled about, letting you use them as a yardstick. If you take measurements it turns out that Rubicon is around 1700km in radius (around that of Earth's Moon), so it's tiny. On the other hand the Vascular Plant is enormous for a structure, nearly 150km tall.

I think it could work, I imagine it would work similarly to MGS V. The gameplay loop or the mission structure would be: 1. You pick a mission you want to do as usual like in any AC games, but then you need to pick a drop point for the mission, each mission has multiple drop point locations, so you can decide which one is more advantageous to your build. 2. Complete the mission objectives. 3. After the objective of the mission is met, the player can choose a pickup point and call up a chopper to get out of the hot zone and complete the mission.

I don’t think you realize just how large some of these structures are until you stop and look around and see that there are so many human sized things. Cars, roads, doors, windows, catwalks. And to you, these details are so tiny, yet, the structures you’re fighting in and around often tower over you. Funny enough, the first time the size of my AC and the world really surprised me was during one of the cave missions when I looked at the walls and realized that the seam on the wall was actually a catwalk. And some of the “fodder” enemies seem so tiny and helpless, but to us they’re at least the size of some modern tanks. And the projectile speed contributes to this as well. I don’t think a game has ever made me feel so massive, and yet so unfathomably small at the same time.

Asteroid mining most likely. One single asteroid in our solar system, and one of the largest, 16 Psyche, would supply Earth with iron and nickel at our current production rate for millions of years, even a small asteroid at only 1km diameter contains iron and nickel at several times global Earth production. A way to look at it, is to consider the amount of metal you see around you. Vehicles, buildings, cars... And multiply that amount by around a a hundred thousand (since much of it like cars sits around for decades), and that's from ONE large asteroid. Or a few thousand medium sized ones. Or tens of thousands of small one-kilometer ones. Once you have interstellar travel and on top of that, Coral and unmanned robots, buildings like these aren't just feasible they're cheap

If I had to guess I'd say Rubicon is around the size of Jupiter. The scale planetside is absolutely enormous when you consider that we're piloting a huge mech and still look tiny in most indoor settings. It reminds me of settings like Blame and Feersum Endjinn. If this were on earth you'd have clouds and full precipitation cycles occurring indoors. It's actually surprising we can see normal personal vehicles on the roads in some of the city maps considering the gravity on Rubicon would be immense. Realistically, those cars would need tank treads to move and those skyscrapers and bridges would need tremendous amounts of reinforcement to even stand. It's also interesting just how much infrastructure we've managed to wrap the planet in. I can't even imagine the amount of material or the machinery needed to build all of that.

Judging by in game game distances and proportions Rubicon should be much smaller than earth and closer to moon. But I think it’s just artistic and gameplay reasons, I believe in universe Rubicon is earth sized planet with earth gravity.

So... these maps are fully modeled, vast, interconnected, with Armored Cores of accurate size to their human models in Elden Ring... and only separated by missions? Oh I hope the modding community gets passionate about modding this. Imagine being able to play this map on foot, get an MT, upgrade to AC, explore the map, new weapons and extended weapon ranges. Place more chests and add more shop items. But that's definitely up there for modding communities, only really seen it with bethesda. A man can hope though.

It's easy to miss how big the terrains are, given how fast you move, but Zullie has mentioned that the units remain the same in all FromSoft games using this engine. One unit is one metre, so when a waypoint says you're 2km from your destination, that'd be 2000 units whether the terrain is in AC6 or if it were somehow imported into Elden Ring. Of course, AC6 locations lack the fine details that other FromSoft games have.

From what I've looked into, the believability of the scale breaks down when you take the time to study it in detail. Putting Tarnished into AC6 will likely show that walkways and stairs are too big compared to a human.

Not even remotely close. I'd say judging by the scale of the vascular plant to the Rubicon 3 that it's significantly smaller than Earth. And the sun is 109 times the diameter of Earth- about 1,300,000 planet Earth's could fit inside it.
