You laugh at the whistle as much as you like, but almost every train here in Switzerland has one of those, even the big ones. And if you're near them, they make you jump like nothing else. Trust me on this. 😂

bigbenhkg Yeah! Even the locomotives ( WAP 5 and WAG 9 ) supplied by Switzerland to India ( in 1995 ) have these same weird horns. I actually kind of like these horns.

Heyho Guy from Switzerland here :D I kindly recommend you to visit chur and arosa once in your life. The track from the game seems perfectly done to the reallife one. The trainstations and everything look like exactly the same. I've been on the track and it was just AMAZING woth the view and ambiente around the track. Like you said, it takes about 1 to 1.5h to get from chur up to arosa. But not every train operating there is an Allega.... Keep up the good work and research Squirrel and if you need the pronounciation of the Stops just tell us Swissguys 😉😉💪🏼

If you'd like to try something with a really high grade of realism, you should try Zusi 3. Unfortunately, It's only available in German, but it is really realistic, features proper train controls, physics, signalling and safety systems. I'm a train driver in Switzerland (at SBB) and to me, no other simulation, not even our professional simulators, come close to Zusi 3. Let me know if you'd like to try it and need help with translations. And if you ever happen to visit Switzerland, just hit me up, I'd love to show you around on my job, if you'd like.

Squirrel Once you know how the sim works, language is no excuse anymore ;-) the (very detailed) documentation is written in German, however, you'd mainly need to understand the signalling. The major part of the document is about building routes, trains etc. To be honest, the sim takes a bit of dedication to understand every aspect.

You seem to do well, at least better than most, with what's left in German from OMSI. If the OP helps with some rough translation I'm sure you could pick it up! Would be cool to watch you play a high-end train sim!

OP is here and ready if needed. I could help you out with the basics, the rest of the sim kinda explains itself. And after the safety systems take you down a few times, you'll get used to the rules and regulatories. ;-)
