A perfect breakdown of the show. Some absolutely incredible performances. Angelica's stone to shoulder was unreal. Plus Lucy's deadlift and Sam's dumbell. So great to hear the crowd going wild!

The seats were full for the women this year. So stoked to see the strongwomen sport grow. Sam's Dumbbell and Angelica's stone to shoulder performance were amazing. Bummed for the injuries though, I was looking forward to seeing Victoria bring it.

One of the things that I've noticed is that the women are working harder than ever before, and they are also are being smarter on events. Consistency tends to win these competitions, and many of the gals are really becoming a lot more consistent across the board. They're dynamic and often very explosive to watch! I think the positive attitudes of everyone is also helping. The women are by and large very supportive of each other, and will cheer each other on to do their best, and that's simply amazing to see! I really enjoy seeing people being passionate for what they love to do, and celebrating that passion together. That sort of thing helps to create success!

Hi Chloe !!! I have become a "Sam Fan" after watching the show. Right with you my favorite was Sam's db and Angelica's stone performance. Same as last year I actually enjoyed the women's performance more than the guys. I have become a "Moose" fan so was happy to see Mitch put in an amazing performance. It will be cool to see further competitions as Thor gets back to full strength .

The dumbbell event points system was super odd, but otherwise a great show. Wasn't too aware of Jardine before but she put on one hell of a show

Nice to see a good analysis just focused on the women's comp. Was gutted for Andrea on the DB on any given day you'd bet on her to nail it but that's sports competition. It was a confusing DB event as a viewer. Victoria going out injured was tough, and poor Inez. Shame Rebecca was injured too, as I thought she was pretty suited to the events. Apart from that it was amazing and some epic performances. Hope they all recover well from the injuries.

I have to admit, that I was so excited to see Martins and Hafthor competing again and against Mitch Hooper, Tom Stoltman, and Mateusz, that I forgot about the women. But the women definitely showed up. Lucy's deadlift, Andrea's frame carry, Hannah doing Hannah things, Sam's dumbbell, Mel with 4 or 5 attempts with 185# dumbbell, and Angelica's dumbbell where she had to take 3 or 4 steps back to get it, then keep the press while walking it back to the pad, Angelica's stone carry, Sam getting the stone to shoulder and then Angelica stealing and winning the show with her stone to shoulder. It was fun to watch. So I thought the men were just as incredible as the women. You had Hafthor with an easy deadlift win and his best frame carry ever after a 4 year lay off, Mitch Hooper just being good at everything with records on the stone carry +40 feet, 5 reps on the axle, and just missed Mateusz's record on the frame carry, Tom Stoltman placing 3rd which was his best result, then you had Mateusz climbing all the way back to 2nd and shouldering the tombstone 3 times.

I went into the Arnold Classic a strongman fan and came out of it as an Angelica fan. It's always been hard for me (as a woman who is not and will never be as strong as I would like to be, for loads of reasons) to watch the women's competition-- it's a bit bittersweet, and sometimes easier to just watch the men. But the women absolutely brought it to this competition, and I love it when you see high-level athletes clearly *enjoying* themselves at their sport, because it sometimes feels like we get that love a bit pummeled out of us with time. Angelica was clearly so happy to be there, so centered in herself and full of joy at what her body can do, and that really hit me hard.

I think maybe I enjoyed watching the women more than the men. You know Hooper is probably gonna win or podium, but who saw Angelica coming on day two? Blew my mind. So many memorable moments, so many surprises.

It's unfortunate that the commentators weren't prepared with existing records (or interest/enthusiasm) so they could show proper excitement for athletes approaching or exceeding records.

Victoria Long announced her retirement, she is such a great athlete and champion. Her intensity and ability won her a lot of fans. She will be very missed.

The live stream cometary was underwhelming, it certainly missed having Big Loz on the team.

Don’t feel bad about being more invested in the Women’s division. We non open class athletes have to throw off the yoke ( not that yoke ) of oppression we have been saddled ( metaphorically ) with by the heavies in the sport!

Yeah I felt that they force fed us the women's comp by sandwiching it between the mens comp..That being said it wasn't too bad, I just would never have watched it otherwise and they know that...

What a silly thing to say. The women's comp was every bit as good as the men's.

No one forced anything. That's on you, no one else so it's a ridiculous criticism.
