Arnold was my mentor. At sixteen I got a hold of his book. I followed his discipline. I went to the gym religiously for about seventeen years. It kept me out of trouble. It helped me to be stable, All thanks to Arnold. It was my foundation for success, Nowadays athletes take drugs and have no discipline.

Mac that may be but his success came at the hands of steroids ! off season , you mean while his was training for the Olympia ? Which he never would've won without steroids. Therefore never given a movie contract. Speaking of. those movies were predicated on his stage presence. Again with the steroids. You see where im going here?

Whenever you want to give up,just think about your family who watch you every day happy, dont let them down. Im having a hard childhood, im 16 and my father was abusive towards me and my mother when i was 10,i wanted to protect her but i couldnt. My school part was also realy bad,i was bullied and told much rude things,i have another problem with my health that stops me from train football(soccer) but still i try my best. Never give up guys,i used to drink and smoke and think it would change my situation,it just got worse. Chase your dreams and be what you want to be,never let others pull you down like they did me,always fight and make your family happy to see you fight for them, for the future of them and yourself. Always fight no matter what

I'm Italian, I grew up in argentina, I learned Portuguese on brazil, now I'm living in Lisbon while I'm learning german. I'm a 3d artist and I'm gonna move to germany in 2 months to get into the video games industry. I'm nervous , I've already received lots of negative emails, lot of comment saying that I need to learn german, that I'm not gonna do it, that it's impossible. But here I am, I made a youtube channel with my art, and I'm going for more. Always learning new softwares, new techniques, a new language. Is not easy, I'm always thinking that it's almost impossible and I'm even afraid. I'm not gonna lie. In 2 months or 3 from now on, I'll be there knocking doors. Thanks to arnold to inspired me to do all this. And to work out harder than ever in every aspect of my life.

This man is heart and soul my idol. Not only is he charismatic, driven and an extremely hard worker but his heart and compassion for people shows that he is a human being above all. It would have been so easy for him to fall to temptation and only work for himself only but he gave back so much to the people along the way that you cant help it but appreciate him. Whatever life brings on your plate, keep you character and attitude intact and let no one shatter or alter it!

I could hear this a million more times. Giving poor people the opportunity to change their situation is what I do. It's a place in life I dreamed to be, now, I'm there.I am that! I've learned an important lesson; "Everyone gets to choose". Offering folks the opportunity to choose, is a really good platform to operate from. (...and yes, I was told so many times; "It can't be done'). But I KNEW it could be. The words in this video should be carved into a huge stone monument on the side of a mountain with each letter being ten feet tall.

Even to my early 20s I was bias that muscular men are all spoiled, quick tempered, and blockheads. That's actually about half true. You have the time and food for working out when you're young 'cause you're spoiled, the testosterone tends to make you feel invigorated, quick tempered, superior and egotistic. And this mindset usually leads to a lack of humility and thus less intelligence. But after I got buffed myself I realized; the drive it takes to do one more rep, one more lap is so excruciating that those rare individuals that have a balance between mind and body are capable of harnessing so much more WILLPOWER than those with only one of the two. Great video.

All you can do is the best you can do. PEOPLE will always strive to say you can't change the World until you change the World! TREAT others the best you can and don't forget to take care of yourself along the way. The more you give the more they will want so don't LET yourselves give so much you haven't nothing left to give. I've already changed the World don't give up hope. It's better to give than to take. Understanding compassion and lifting up others is real TRUTH . if it comes from a cheerfull heart.

No matter what scandal there is about Arnie my respect for him won’t die. One of the pillars of that respect is that of all the motivational speeches out there his is one of the few who stresses taking some time out and volunteer. As if he realizes that too much self-work can be the destruction of humanity and create a league of self indulged me-monkeys and that volunteering is the healthiest way to not only get out of your head, but get a pulse on the world we live in as well.

Today I went to the gym, and I lifted 45 pound free weights, I shot some basketball hoops, and I ran a half mile. I'll do it again, and again, and again until I'm lifting 100 pounds, and running 2 or 3 miles, and I'll keep going up. I'll do it because the enemy in my head says it's impossible. Thank you, Arnold, for being fearless for people like me.
