Also, apart from Arnold being the absolute amazing Terminator, Michael Biehn killed it as Reese. He was the heart of the film. I mean the delivery of that line "It can't be bargained with, it can be reasoned with...". Just epic.

His performance was excellent. But that said, I was always amused this is what the machines chose as a covert infiltration robot. A massive dude with an Austrian accent and muscles so massive that they are damn near impossible to get even with pre-apocalyptic gym equipment and steroids. Blends in perfectly!

The scene in the club when he 1st sees sara connor.. the way Arnold moves etc.. looked so robotic it was ridiculous.... nobody could do it but Arnold

I don't know about OJ's skills with firearms but put a knife in his hand and he completely transforms.

James Cameron was absolutely right when he said the Terminator is the star. Kyle is nowhere near as recognisable as the Terminator

Kinda depressing to think that the audience identifies with the villain. Even as a kid, I thought Kyle Reese embodied everything I wanted to be as a man. And Michael Biehn really "became" that character. Reese is still Mike's favorite character of all he's played.

Arnold always has a sense of humor about his acting, it's very refreshing. Also Good Call on Yul Bryner/original Westworld, very few special effects, but his acting really sold the the Android concept!

RIP to Franco Columbu who was also in The Terminator.

Best decision he’s made in his film career. Arnold is and will always be my favorite actor. I know he isn’t the best actor by any stretch but he knew the roles he was able to do and did them great. He has a ton of classics. One of a kind. I’m 28 now but have watched his movies since i was around 7.

Man, Arnold hits the nail on the head why the new Terminators seem so non-threatening. They are TOO human like.

Just watched the first two movies after seeing this clip... I love Howard and Arnold both, they're legends

Arnold is a perfect action star. Never gets credit for his genius.

I'd love to see Arnold make his own movie, ground up. I mean obviously he'd hire people like writers and directors, but I mean be the real creative vision behind it. I bet it'd be shockingly good.

That right there just bumped my opinion of him as an actor. I’m pleased to see that he looks deep at a character’s perspective and uses that insight to inform a portrayal.

No one else could have embodied the Terminator like Arnie. No one else could have embodied Kyle Reese like Michael Biehn.

OJ during his sentencing for armed robbery: "I'll be back".

Listen, and understand. OJ is out there. He can’t be bargained with. He can’t be reasoned with. He doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

One of the most epic lines ever. That movie was incredible. One of my favorite scenes is how Reese had to wait until the Terminator made a move on Sarah Connor in the nightclub because he didn't know what he looked like.

I like how passionate he is about the performance of acting like a machine

Terminator made Schwarzenegger. Conan was good, but I am absolut4ely in love with 1 and 2. Thanks for this interview Howard. Memories last a lifetime.

Doesn't matter if it's the 100th time im watching T1 or T2 or even Predator 1. If it's on TV, i drop the remote.

I never would have thought Terminator could have been a shitty movie but it absolutely was before Arnold spoke about it having to be a machine not a person and eventually playing it and having more dialogue.

He was perfect for The Terminator role but I don't think he would've been as good as Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese. Reese had to just be a regular guy from the future while with Arnie's size he would be hard to believe as some guy just a part of the resistance.

I'm picturing Arnold as Kyle Reese and all that's coming to mind is Commando and Running Man. The world wasn't ready for leading man Arnold at the time.

A lot of credit should obviously go to James Cameron for creating such an intense, often times, unnerving thriller. But I can't imagine anyone besides Arnold playing that role now. He was perfect and he should get his due for being such a scary, physical presence on screen. That's what it called for and he delivered the goods. OJ? What a joke that would have been.

Hilarious. Good stuff.

Arnold should go back to the bad terminator one more time. I think that would put the franchise back to where was.

I can scarcely think of a more perfect fit for a role. And in the first movie, he is a truly terrifying presence.

vsboy 25 Supposedly Lance Henrikson was the one who actually landed the role, but at the last minute was given to Arnold. Henrikson evidently showed up on set in character moody and stone faced complete with leather jacket. Cameron gave him the role as police detective afterward. Personally I think under Cameron’s direction, Henrikson would have made a fine android from the future! 😉💥

Imagine a naked OJ being sent from the future lol. "Give me your jackets and your boots." Lol
