This video features "Elegy" (In memory of Aram Khachaturian) by the renowned Armenian pianist and composer, Arno Babadjanian. In honour of his lineage, it was filmed in the only Armenian Church in Singapore. Special thanks to Emmanuel & Sons, the exclusive agent for Yangtze River Pianos in Singapore.
The video is part of a collection of piano works titled “Elegies & Humoresques”, performed and recorded by the multi-award-winning Ukrainian pianist Kseniia Vokhmianina.
Elegy, a musical composition that is melancholic and pensive in tone.
Humoresque and Burlesque, musical genres that are humorous and energetic in character. These two contrasting genres display the dichotomy of our everyday life. Sadneess and happiness, tragedy and comedy, good and evil. Reaching for the golden middle.
