It's there to protect the people and cars behind it from the rubber and spray from the tires. It's a crosswalk of sorts for spectators to get from one side of track to the other too. Great to hear from Australia as you have some wild events down under. Thanks for watching!👊

@@victoryredcolorado yes we do have summer nats in Australia in January of 2020 your video crew should come down to Australia next year to check out the summer nats event next year they got like drag racing cars that goes to the event and they do mean mad things on the burnout area what they de we shredded the tyres off the rims in Australia here cheers from Cameron in Australia here again and I remember drag car always entered in straight head

@@victoryredcolorado there isn't no little protection walls like that track into Australian drag strip at all anyway there mate the tracks are straight ahead drag strips 1320 video went to heathcote drags raceway in bendigo Victoria Australia here where I live in here you should come to and filming some of Australian drag racing in Australia here mate cheers from Cameron in Australia here

Its a Pontiac of some sort, blown and injected. This IS Arnies old car. The body frame suspension are the original. Motor/trans wheels etc are not. It is a very interesting car to see in person in the pits with the doors open and the front end tilted! This is one of the first fiberglass funny cars.

@@redlinerracer7178 Wow....that is amazing. Thanks for the response. Any way to find out what actual motor is in there? I wonder if the Don Gay Infinity is still out and about. I think Arnie's Boss Bird was the last of his cars to run Pontiac power. I do believe it was a 428 with Ram Air 5 tunnel port heads....I know the Super Judge ran that setup, and his Judge went high 6's...really impressive for a non Hemi powered funny car of the time. Only thing was, I think he had to limit the nitro load to about 75%.

Sitting in the backseat wtf is that about?

Not only is the driver sitting in the back seat. The engine is about even with the drivers seat too and the front wheels have been moved almost a foot toward the front.
