ARNE SLOT' FIRST TRANSFERS AT LIVERPOOL: This Team Will Be a Monster 🤯
For Liverpool, this season is technically over, and the most interesting topic for fans now is what the team will look like next season with Arne Slot.
In this video, Football Club will tell you about all the transfer rumors, Liverpool's targets, outgoing transfers and what the Reds' squad will look like in the 2024/25 campaign. Let's go!
Goalkeepers
Let's start with the foundation for any team - the goalie position. Obviously, Alisson Becker will remain the first choice.
But his backup is likely to change. Caoimhin Kelleher, who has been Liverpool's second goalkeeper for the past few years, wants to have regular playing time, and you can't blame him for that. So the Irishman will move with a 90% probability.
The Reds currently have two options to replace him. Football Insider reports that the Merseysiders have a concrete interest in 21-year-old Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford. The Man City graduate is a European champion with the England youth team and has excellent prospects.
The downside for Liverpool will be his price: Burnley only bought Trafford from City last summer for 15 million pounds, which means that the Merseysiders will have to pay more to get the player.
Anyway, Liverpool have another great option. The name of this option is Vitezslav Jaros. The 22-year-old Czech goalkeeper is a graduate of the Reds' academy and this season he made a breakthrough in his career. In the winter, he went on loan to play for Austrian side Sturm and so far this experience has been super successful for him. His club have already won the Austrian Cup and are leading the league with 3 games to go. By the way, Sturm can interrupt the hegemony of Red Bull Salzburg, who have been champions for 10 seasons in a row. And in this enchanting season from Sturm, Jaros plays a key role.
So Liverpool have two good options to back up Alisson.
Fullbacks
Now let's move on to the fullback position. Currently, the Reds have the following options: Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas on the left, and Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Bradley on the right. We will also include here Joe Gomez, who can play any position in the defense.
Of all these players, Tsimikas is the most likely to leave the club: the Greek has no playing time and does not meet Liverpool's high standards.
Journalist Sam McGuire reports that Joe Gomez may also leave the Reds. The reason is the same - the lack of a regular starting spot. Joe is appreciated in Liverpool, but if he wants to leave, he will be allowed to go.
If Gomez leaves, Liverpool will turn their attention to Feyenoord captain Lutsharel Geertruida. This season, he plays as a right-back, but, like Gomez, he can play anywhere in the defense. Of course, in this video we will often mention Feye's players because Arne Slot, quite logically, will want to bring several footballers with him.
The Reds will also be looking for a left-back in the summer, who will initially compete with the 30-year-old Robertson, and eventually become the main man in this position.
Liverpool are currently considering two major names: Ryan Ait-Nouri from Wolves and Quilindschy Hartman from Feyenoord. Ait-Nouri's advantage is his experience in the Premier League. At 22, he already has 95 matches in the EPL and is a perfect fit for the Reds' attacking philosophy. Transfermarkt estimates the Algerian at 32 million euros.
As for Hartman, his advantage is the experience of working with Slot at Feyenoord and the coach will probably want to continue working with a familiar player. After all, it was with Slot that Hartman won the Eredivisie and became a player of the Dutch national team.
He should be cheaper than Ait-Nouri and is estimated at €23 million, however, he is currently recovering from a serious knee injury and will not be able to play until the end of the year.
Center-backs
Liverpool have already started looking at center-backs for the summer transfer window as one of the priority positions to cover, - Fabrizio Romano shared.
Indeed, signing a center-back is an absolute priority for the club. Joel Matip will leave the Reds in the summer. Jarell Quansah lacks experience and his development should be gradual. Ibrahima Konate is injury prone.
That leaves only Virgil Van Dijk, who turns 33 in the summer and who also needs to be given a rest sometimes. So there is an option where the Reds will sign not one, but two center-backs.
Journalist Pedro Almeida shared an insight that the two main targets for this position are Gonzalo Inacio from Sporting and Micky Van De Ven from Tottenham. Earlier, BILD wrote that Liverpool are keen on signing the 22-year-old Willian Pacho from Eintracht.
All three of these players are united by the fact that their strong foot is left. The Reds have long wanted to add a left-footed center-back to the squad. And while the transfer of Van De Ven is unlikely.

most of them i agree with except Sepp Van Den Berg. i think he will be moved on this season because Klopp didn't think he was good enough. otherwise he would have been given the chance with all the rotten luck we've had with injuries at the back these past few seasons. fact that when all our senior CBs were out and he couldn't even make the bench pretty much tells u all u need to know.
Koopmeiners must be an absolute priority. A midfield of Szoboszlai Macallister and him would be massively beneficial. We all saw his qualitys when he schooled our team during the 3-0. Hes one of italys best midfielders. And hes reasonably priced. You sign szoboszlai. You sign koopmeiners..

Macca can also play in any position in the midfielder and koopmeiners will take all the game time from Curtis Jones, Bajcetic and will give Slot the tough decision of either benching Salah or benching Koopmeiners

That’s the bare minimum, you need atleast 2 players per position and then a third versatile one. Because if there’s an injury you can’t expect one player to play all games in all comps. An example is, Joe Gomez. We’ve got 2 players for each defensive position + Joe Gomez that can play anywhere in case of injury.

Bringing forth too many many players from different clubs will be a disastrous to the club I think the club should focus on possible empty position by next season and fix where there is crutch like in Central defence leading to concidind goals ....that's it

Priority : 1. Strong and ballplaying CB 2. Anchor type DMF, who are good at defending and press resistant when hold the ball 3. Right winger/striker. The right winger should have the good take on skill when attacking, good creating chances stats and skills, good workrate, and good conversion rate to goal. While if we search for striker, we need to look into his goal conversion rate stats, strong, good composure with the ball, have the speed, great at defending the ball when the team at build up phase

Hartman lacks defensive quality and I believe we need another CDM as bajcetic can't be relied on due to injury problems we will need a player who can play on the ball and win the ball back when needed.

I don't know. Liverpool might sign more players than that, especially if they first sell a number of their own players. Like what was mentioned in the above video, they need to strengthen their defense, especially amongst their centre-backs. With Matip leaving, Konate being injury-prone, Quansh being young, Van-Dijk turning 33, Tsimikas very likely departing as well, Robertson over 30, and with Gomez like Kellerher probably wishing to play more regular football, Liverpool could well sign 2 CB and, 1 LB, and 1 backup goalkeeper. They have Owen Beck for the left-back position and Sepp Van Den Berg for CB. We'll have to wait and see how they will fare in preseason. In the midfield, they needed a DM before they signed Endo, so even though he has been a good signing, he is 30, and I can, for this reason, see FSG bring someone in to fulfil that role. Yes, they do have Bajcetic, Tyler Morton, and James Mc Cornell, but they are all still young, so I can see someone being brought in to play there. Koopmeiners would also be a good choice since he can play anywhere in midfield. Liverpool also needs to strengthen in attack. Even though there are several talented academy players like Danns, Koumas, Blair, Musialowski, and others, they are still young. Could Slot, with his different tactical approach, bring the best out of Nunez? Jota is a good finisher/poacher, but he is not really a target man, so someone might be brought in to fulfil that role to displace or give Nunez some competition especially if he continues to be unable to take advantage of the chances he is offered. Slot likes wingers. Salah is no longer as effective as he had been, there needs to be a backup right winger or somebody who can give him some competition. Diaz could well be leaving, and so should someone be brought in to take his place?

No Slot will tell Hughes what player he wants that'll fit his system and then Hughes will go and find a shortlist of player for a particular position using the data analytics and slot will pick who he wants

I don't think that even IF we sell Salah, Diaz and whoever else to get substancial amount of money for transfers, we'll invest that much and get more than 3 or 4 players. It's just not FSG and Liverpool, so Wirtz and Kvara are unrealistic names for the club due to their prices (+100 million), Hartman is expected to return in January 2025 from his injury (no point of even considering him) and the rest mentioned are possible, but some will be stupid -> like Neto for example who is a great player, but can't ignore the injuries, same for Olise. Hopefully Richards and Edwards can make smart signings like when Edwards bought Fabinho, Virgil, Alisson and others that revolutionized the club. I won't mind Colwill, though injuries still need to be looked at and if it's a feasable transfer, one left back (maybe Ait-Nouri) or Owen Beck given a chance, one top DM (hopefully Alan Varela) and for the attack really depends on who we sell or if we even sell one, but if we keep all forwards, one young RW (De Ketelaere, Bakayoko, Kudus, even Madueke from Chelsea can be a good business since they need to sell and could be a bargain at 35-40 m) won't be a bad option, Salah needs competition. Olise or Neto would be in front of these names for me (only Kudus is close), but we can't risk it with injury prone players.

I honestly think due to him not having the greatest season we could get khvicha for around 80 mil and he's probably very willing to leave Napoli and he should be our only high profile signing and then we get hancko, weiffer and maybe a new backup gk like trafford.
