There are a few really good one. From my experience serious rp servers (and I mean real serious rp) are pretty fun and the people there are nice for the most part.

That pretty much what happens when you setup a public RP server. I'm not an RP player myself, but I've seen some pretty good RP footage from servers that are private and actually filter people who are allowed into the community.

I've never quite understood servers directed entirely to RP. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with RP itself but it really just seems like all of these servers want you to be super serious stalwart dudes who never drop character once. It's so common in so many games especially D&D. They don't let you play silly characters or even just characters that want to have the occasional joke inbetween being a serious asshole which is astounding to me. Everyone being super serious dudes in armour is just boring.

I was in a joke RP once before, we actually had to stop leting people in because the new people always wanted to be serious and stop joking around. Just enlist if you want to be super serious all the time.

This is a serious role-play server, which have always existed. What you are talking about is a less serious server, which there are plenty of, Kevin just so happens to always join the serious ones since breaking the rules tends to have better content.

Kout has 2 meanings, both originating from Scandinavia and making their way to English/UK slang over the centuries. Its means "A form of insincere talking." Like "Sarcasm mixed with a humorous story." Trolling? "Are you havin a Kout mate." Bit of a laugh and joke but hidden within real objectives in speech.

I can never tell if people are really good at role playing or if they are actually getting mad at someone on a role play server. I mean I know children get annoyed and takes this game serious for some reason but this was a grown man and he sounded pissed when kept asking what "Kout" was. Also the kid screaming at him for locking him in there.

Both. The server is designed specifically for serious role-players, you know, the hardcore ones. So when a less serious role-player joins it can get annoying when you want to act out a scenario. Also, just like to point out that the majority of serious role-players are adults. The "children" tend to go along with a person's shenanigans until it gets in the way of their fun, such as locking them up and forcing them to stay there for an undetermined amount of time. Children require nearly constant stimulation, so being trapped is understandably upsetting. As for the "kout" guy, he was probably just having a bad day. It sounds like that was the case, with that exasperated and almost defeated sigh he gave.

Kout is a Scandinavian word that was adopted into UK slang... It originally means the exchange of Ideas. But because UK often saw us Vikings as dumb brutes it became a "Sarcastic joke" style of talking.

So basically there's half little kids who want to be in the military and half 30 year old english men that take RP servers way too seriously
