Beautiful woods tall trees some looked huge and very old 🌳 nice looking nature trails to walk along. Interesting fungi seen that in the uk on trees . Good video and pictures, National Parks Princess 👍

As you might imagine I loved seeing the redwoods at Armstrong State preserve The giants are impressive Like your idea of arriving early Amazing to look up Wow a Douglas fir Cool creek - lots of water must support the fungi Cheers to the journey from Mike at that place👍

Really enjoyed seeing this trail it was so well maintained and all those redwoods!! We are so exciting we are heading to the redwoods in a little over a week we will be a little more north of this if we had more time we would go here for sure but its onnour list in the future. Omg Princess we loved this Redwood 🌲 are our favourite after seeing them on our honeymoon we have very little here in the uk but when we do see them they get a Jilly hug 😂 this walk is awesome I would be all out of hugs after walking through here😅 thank you so much for taking us with you! What a beautiful tour! Growing up in Calif our family visited the Redwoods a lot. They are so majestic. I'm surprised that some of the burnt trees are still standing. I live in an area where there are fires each summer and have seen the devastation it causes to our trees. Thanks for the wonderful walk.

Hi 👋 it is really amazing that they can withstand fire. Unfortunately, some of the trees didn't make it through the fire here in 2020, but the main grove did well. I appreciate you watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊

@lgeorges1 LG, these redwoods are coastal redwoods. The General Sherman is a Sequoia and resides further south in Sequoia National Park. The sequoia groves are found in the Sirrea Mountains and have a much larger base and trunk circumference. Coastal redwoods typically grow taller than the sequoia, though. We actually went to a Sequoia Grove last weekend in Yosemite. So you will be able to see the differences between the two types of trees.

Wow Princess Those giant trees are aged and weathered..as if they want to tell their stories.. What kind of plant is this??? 5:04 dead roots? The trail seems moderate to hike. The leaking sunshine through the branches is majestic The sounds of the water from the creek soothe along the way. Well done. I would love to hike up here one day, 'a lot of awe-moments Happy Easter...catching up...after recovering sickness..

GC, a lot of the groves saved are due to private citizens from way back. Many have donated the land to the state to keep them preserved for future use. I know a few years ago, a really old grove was donated, I believe it's closer to Santa Cruz, and it is supposed to have some of the oldest in the state, as far as redwoods go. I appreciate you watching 👀 😌 and for all of your wonderful support.
