If I could only have one foil, the 1225 would be it. Wake, wing or prone, it does it all. The fact that you can do a full flat breach and ride away is icing on the cake.

Hi Rob - I agree with that depending upon the typical wind speed, prone wave size, and body weight. The MA1000 has a pretty good case for that scenario as well. Best Tim

Amazing video as usual guys!!!. I don´t wake foil, only kite foil, flat and small waves. The solid transition from side to side and over the prop wash is absolutely convincing it´s the swiss army knife, along with the far glides from the wake. How wide did your smiles get after this session? MAs might overshadow the HAs "blades". Unfortunately for me, due to many reasons, it is critical an announced stall, that CF1200 has and some HS as well, reason being I pivot the board at slow speed doing 180 degrees just before catching a wave, so i.e. the HA925 I found useless, obviously from my deficiencies and or style of ridding POV. Awesome video

Yes - the HA925 has to keep speed so a pre-wave pivot can be tough if it's not a power turn. The CF1200 is much more forgiving. That said - I think you'll be surprised at the glide of the MA foils. Thanks for checking out the video Claudio - hope you're getting some great days. Cheers, Tim

Nice vidéo! Has it became your favorite setup for wakefoiling ? Is it easier or harder to pump in comparison with the HS1850v2 ? Thanks 🤙🏼

Super fun wing and definitely a favorite. Faster than HS1850 but slightly different spot on the quiver. Email us at halflifet.5@gmail.com to right size for your riding. Cheers, Tim & John

Another great video! I've been riding a HS1250 behind the boat and I really like it except I have trouble consistently pumping back to catch 2nd and 3rd waves. I also have the HS1850 and can pump easily with it but don't find it as fun behind the boat. I have gained a little weight recently 205lbs, I'm wondering if the MA1225 would allow me the same carving characteristic as the 1250, but with better pumping?

Hi Richard - thank you for checking out the video! Glad you're having a good time out there foiling. A couple ideas for you: 1) Add a 50cm fuselage to your quiver -- fun for HS1250 and the HS1850. 2) Add a V200 tail to ride with your HS1850 - it will loosen the ride up 3) Be sure to increase your pump cadence when you go to pump the HS1250 -- its a quicker cadence and keep it high! Now....to answer your actual question. Yes - the MA1225 (I like it with the V200 tail) is very responsive and has more glide than the 1250. Just remember to move it up in the mast track compared to the HS. You could also go with a MA1475 but it sounds like you'd like a looser ride. We have it all in stock so if you'd like to buy from us (which we always appreciate) just drop us a line -- email Halflifet.5@gmail.com or call us at (909) 698-0401 Best Tim

Thanks for the vid.. took my son out for his 2nd day tow foiling today in Ketchikan, Alaska.. 1550V2 with 93.5 performance and 300 tail.. i have a 1225 ma as well but haven't used it a lot yet winging (or other).. What kind of speed of the boat has been best for your for 1225, 1550 hs v2? What speed in this video if you remember.. I don't know a lot about wave speed matching to foil speed.. we went about 13 mph with the 1550 today. Thanks again.

depends upon the boat but you're likely going too fast. 11.2mph works for most all surf boats. A bit faster for quicker action and power (12mph). If it's an Alaskan fishing boat or other - different story. You need to look for the 'V' in the boat wave and then back it down until it's gone. You want a good hump in the middle. Best, Tim

I’m using vtail, 60 fuse, Armie 4.5 prone board. I tried the ma1225 prone on 85cm A mast, but it kept wanting to dive after getting on foil. Thinking I need to shim…. Any suggestions appreciated! Great reviews as always guys 🤙

Hi Jason - make sure you're moving it up in the mast track. For the V200 - we like no shim. With the 205 we go red shim. These foils are really good - any time it dove on us or felt doey - we had to move the mast a bit. Experiment with that and let us know how it goes. Best, Tim & John

I'm a kiter and wakefoiler currently using an Armstrong 85cm V1, CF1200, and 232 wing. I'd like to upgrade to something that is just as turny but that can handle some higher speeds without losing the low end performance. I'm often kiting in really light winds where it'd be nice to have better pumpability than the CF1200, but it would also be fun to ride at higher speeds. Does the MA 1000 or MA1225 sound like what I'm looking for? And perhaps pairing that with the Performance 865 and 205 stab? Or would you have other suggestions? It would also be fun to have a wing that can handle kite foiling airs, but that might be a different front wing entirely?

right on Matt -- very cool. The V1 CF1200 was a great foil in it's day. Characteristic of the CFs is a nice entry and exit out of a carve. In V2 CF1200 they made it thinner and faster. Much improved for pumping - same stability. So at a minimum - you could upgrade to V2CF1200 (we have them in stock). You have two great choices that will be in that same size/wind range -- MA1000 and the HA1080. I can not say enough good things about both these wings. The MA1000 is most likely the next foil progression for you. Tip breaches are no worries and it is an incredibly smooth up for wind sports. It pumps as well as the CF1200V2 but moves much faster through the water. The new HA s are incredible. Compared to V1HAs the stall speed is much lower and it's less technical to ride. It's a fast foil and pumps well. The HA1080 is all around awesome....but it is slightly more technical to ride than the MA1000. Feel free to give me a call to talk through it and we'll get you dialed. 909-698-0401 Cheers, Tim

I have ridden a HA and a CF front wing. The HA is much faster and less forgiving. I am assuming the MA will give a middle of the road experience that is more versatile.
