Arms Transfer to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan Emptying US Arsenal Amid Tensions With Russia, China?

The US has struggled to maintain robust munitions levels in the decades before the recent wars in the Middle East and Europe. However, the Pentagon’s inventory was not under such intense pressure as it is now, after huge shipment of arms to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan. Current geopolitical turmoil and commitment to allies have forced the Pentagon to make crucial risk management assessments. Congressional staffers and former Pentagon officials say the US is dipping below minimum inventory requirements in some cases. Meanwhile, a 2023 study found that the US would run out of long-range, precision-guided munitions in less than a week in a fight with China over Taiwan.

Crux needs to understand the difference between falling below the minimum required and being empty. The minimum required is having plenty of stock to fight a war tomorrow. US and NATO have ramped up production in all countries and built new factories recently. Weapons and ammo contracts are increasing and they are making more money than ever filling orders all over the world. USA has never used a million dollar missile to shoot down a drone. Radars tell them what the size and speed of the missile, rocket or drone are travelling, and machine guns, auto canons, Geppards, Skynex, Stingers etc are used to shoot drones down. fighters even chase them and shoot them down (as well as cruise missiles!) russia on the other hand, cant stop the vast majority of drones, rockets, missiles or artillery from the west....so they will suffer more losses this year!

Exactly. We have plenty weapons. For one Russia is more focused on ground infantry vs the United States is more dedicated to its Air Force and naval assets. The U.S. is more focused on stealth such as F22 and F35 and even our F15s always getting upgrades same with the F16 fighting falcons. Americas submarines are a decade ahead of China. Americas air craft carriers the largest in the world and nuclear powered can float more then 20+ years without a single refuel. No other nation can do that in the world. Russia don’t even have an air craft carrier now it is docked. Russia and Chinese ships are like 1/3rd maybe half the size of American war ships. I know we have triple the tonnage of Russias ships and double the tonnage of chinas little fishing boats they call ships. And with size it matters too you can fit a hell of a lot more missiles and bombs ammo on them. More man power ets. Even Americas new ARRW and mako hypersonic missiles are only 13 foot long why? Because it can go with our stealth fighters and fit on our war planes go on our ships and submarines and be fired from ground launchers also. Vs China and Russia have huge missiles that’s ground launched. A lot factors into this. USA isn’t focused on artillery like Russia. That’s why Russia fires more in a day than we did in all our time in Iraq.

The US has 2,800 Bradleys in storage, Ukraine got 192 and now another 70 or so. US has 12,000 MWRAPS in storage can´t give them away. US has more tham M1Abrams in storage Ukraine got 31. US sent Ukraine ATACMS all old and due to be scrapped. US has 800-900 F16 they don´t use anymore, Ukraine getting about 48 but mainly from Holland. US had 5.5m cluster munitions they will never use. The US has enough bullets to sink a battleship. The only thing they have a shortage of is 155mm artillery shells. They are sending 1m shells, EU sending 1m shells and Czech have collected enough money to buy and send initially 300,000 shells from a target of 800,000 shells. US has agreed this year to give Morocco 500 armoured vehicles including Bradleys and M1Abrams for free. The US could easily send from Storage 500 M1 Abrams, 500 Bradleys, all with parts and ammo, a 1000 MWRAPS to lead an attack to detect mines, and 3-4 large pontoon bridges plus smoke machines to get several bridge crossings over the DNIPRO, just one tenth of that listed above could be down to the Crimea border in 2 hours, along with 2 HIMAR and 5 AS-90 howitzers. 30 minutes before arriving the HIMARS and Howitzers attack the Russian defences on the border. Follow up with drones, might help to have 10 mine clearing equipment. 1 hour behind this attack follow up with more Bradley and logistic lorries and have F-16 providing air cover.
