I hate it that some bosses requires some specific equipment to fight. My fight with this boss wasn't easy because I didn't have enough money to get the quad legs. Really didn't expect this boss after the Balteus fight

@@JohnnyTai86 You can sell parts for the same price you bought them, then rebuy them later. You can also replay old missions and you still earn money. There's that "Destroy the tester AC mission" that you can complete in like 30 seconds for easy money

Awesome. I really struggle with this guy as it stands. I like to run a light weight build usually but struggle to hit his weak spots whilst weaving in and out of his attacks on the ground. I usually slip in the gaps of his swings and assault boost to avoid the smash attack he does charging at you. I'll take this guide into account and adjust accordingly!

I really don't like the idea that everything comes down to a "specific" build. It kind of limits the idea of being able to freely design your AC the way you want it.

You’re still free to do that, and you can still beat any boss with any build. It’s just a matter of what’s more practical, and if practicality bothers you, then maybe you bought the wrong game

To Be fair even Darksouls was similar with many bosses being downright 99.9% impossible with many builds forcing many to use hyper specific builds. I've discovered not many bosses are so cut and dry in AC6. This boss in particular i died a ton till i legit said "Fuck it, dual SMGs close combat" and just danced with death building stagger till i could mag dump it's main front weak point enough to beat it, and i wasn't even using a light build frame parts, just medium. I have noticed many bosses allow more options it just takes a bit of time to see them and get use to them enough to FIND the rhythm a build you like works with it. Tbh on NG+ I'm gonna challenge myself to not swap builds in missions and go for no resuppllies. Really test my knowledge and skill after i get the game down it being my first AC and all.

Haha hovering Tetrapod and shoulder mounted grenade launcher go BRRRRR. I felt so good bringing along the tetrapod build I just wanted to try out for the first time for this mission.

Nice strat. May as well use the spider legs and just float the entire time. Worked for me as well. She also has a weak spot in the front. You can maneuver to hit her with high stagger weapons, she will also die fast.

Worked like a charm 👍 make sure to always hit the cylinder with the lava with bazooke and those guns and you’ll be good

Ive been pretty much using moderate at best armor with moderate weapons until the final level of chapter 1. Definitely going to have to some do homework for that level's boss

Other tips I can offer. Use quad legs. Sure you'll have to land eventually but if you time your landings and recharge in-between it's attacks. You can avoid most of it.

play heavy tank, use the songbirds on shoulders to stun him in the chest area and use mini guns in hand to brute force. he’s dead in literally 1 min

Man sea spider and balteus took me abt 3 tries each but this bastard took me 6!

Legit just ran the two starter SMGs and two plasma missile launchers and danced with death, mag dumping it's front opening weak point and dropping plasma shots to build constant stagger till i could just get as close as possible during stagger to mag dump like no tomorrow.

A shame there is no one AC-fits-all bosses build. Will try with quad legs next try.

I started this boss with a Ludlow MG and a pulse blade, needless to say it did not go well

What about SONGBIRD Grenade Launchers?

This build is ok for other bosses?

Are energy weapons also good for this mission?

Just got it to about 5% health with quad legs, javelin bazooka, grenade launcher, 8x missile pod and 3x plasma missile pod. Could have won if i landed all my shots, but it's a spongy bastard. Guess i'll do something like this instead.

My strategy was to put all the firepower I could on to my tank build then shove everything down his throat.

...I just went full melee and stunlocked

So yeah I tried this with tank treads and it made this fight awfully hard.

The boss isn’t really hard at all, I’m literally just running out of ammo before I can kill it lol

This boss is very easy. I used a lightweight Schneider build and picked low powered boosters for low consumption and a high capacity generator. I picked a grenade cannon, shoulder pulse cannon and the highest damage bazooka at that point of the game.

This boss is cheesy as fuck. Almost as bad as Balteus in that regard. I'm running a lightweight build and still can only stay in the air about a quarter as long as you are here. It's my first play through, so I don't have access to end game equipment yet, and I don't like running quad legs. I have pulse blade, songbirds and grenade launcher, which all do great damage, and slowly but surely little away at his armor. However, one thing you didn't mention that important is not only do you want to be airborne as much as possible, especially when he's attacking, but damage is almost doubled when you shoot DIRECTLY and I mean *_DIRECTLY_* into that cauldron you mentioned...basically directly above him or very close to it. If you even like 30 degrees off from directly above him the damage is substantially lower, and you've therefore got to be substantially more lucky to not be one or two shot by his ridiculously cheesy moves because it will take that much longer to kill him. Also, if you trying to use a blade against him this can work, but you have to be extremely calculated when and where you use it against him. Only use it on the upper target (the cauldron), and only on the side or back of it. And if you're going to use a blade on the side of the cauldron, be very careful about him spinning into you. I've been killed by him multiple times now when the visuals from the game didn't even indicate he touched me, right after using the blade and therefore still being close to him. It won't look like the his damaging "hands" even hit you, but the game will register that they did just because you were close to the cauldron and he was doing his spin move. I'm going to give him a few more tries with my current build because I think I can pull it off, but it's just annoying because I know I have to be virtually flawless the entire run, just like with Balteus. If it doesn't work out I'm just going to restart level with a new build to absolutely cheese him out. Won't be as fun, but it will definitely work. Quad legs, maxed AP, and all four weapons heavy duty, mid- to long-range.

People need help with this boss? Just beat it 1st try spamming missiles…. Easiest boss yet.

Having to make specific builds takes all the fun out of this game… On top of that, you have to play the WHOLE stupid level again if you don’t have the right parts… I loved AC since the ps2 days but this new souls-like style suckkkkksss.

You can refit when you die and respawn at checkpoint with new kit. you have been fromsoft'd

Typical from soft garbage boss, you can rain hell down on it all day long and do no damage because they designed these to play like a riddle so once you learn the secret you're no longer challenged by it and it simply becomes borring with no replay value... from soft basically cheats and kills your character over and over only to then roll over and quit if you use the special trick😃 They get super mad if you try to beat the boss before you have the right items unlocked and simply cheat ignoring your perfectly timed strikes and killing you with attacks that often miss Worse yet the gimpy son of a bitch causes your Mech to get hitched up because it's a big block rather than a smooth character that can Ascend past small items in its way so once it runs up on you good luck getting airborne😂 you'll likely get gimped up on something or your mech won't even react to the button you pressed Absolutely awful and sadder yet these games could all be fixed instantly with a save anywhere feature😂 This is the second and definitely last from soft game I'll ever buy... they're just GARBAGE
