The Chimera should have been in your list if you were making an Endor fleet. Thrawn wasn't there, but in the first few pages of Heir to the Empire, Paelleon reminisces about his own role at that battle and how he assumed command when the former captain was killed. No big, though.

I can now see from the perspective of the Empire and their overconfidence

Please do this on a bigger board ❤️ I think the rebels would have an advantage if it was spread out

Either that.. have no obstacles. But still could be done on a 3x6. No objectives, no Obstacles.

I think I appreciate the sped up camera rather than the fade to black and round recaps. If we miss something we can always just rewind. This was one of the more enjoyable battle reps, which is meant as a compliment since I enjoy all of them anyway.

You need 50 tie fighter squadrons!! I can see some of these massive battles taking place on a 4x6 mat, or a larger setting at a local game store!

Be cool to see someone build layers on their table, to make it even more of "space" battle.

It’s extremely difficult for a rebel player to win in these scenarios (especially on a map this size) because they will spend most of their time exposed to the front arcs of ships that are designed to decimate things that are in their front arcs. Above a certain point value, the Empire can field a substantial number of ships that have a lot of hull and can cover the flanks of other ships with the front arcs, preventing the more nimble rebel ships from exploiting their advantage. Their ships cannot repel firepower of that magnitude.

Nice game, this is the way the Battle of Endor should have gone with an Imperial Victory. Though I wish the Executor had a Lusankya title, that would have been great lol

I've played a 2000 point battle before. Took hours to play. This was before the SSD though. Crabbak, you should play this battle again after the Starhawk and the new imperial ship are released.

Wow! That looks similar to the SSD battle we did a while back...there comes a point where the damage just starts racking up on it, but luckily it was only about 15 points, so I just edged out my opponent.

Love the game. Hadn’t played in a couple of years, now that I will be able to get the separatists it reminded me how fun this game is. Got in a couple of games with my older son...lost both. He like the Empire.To me that many ships on the board becomes a dice rolling fest...not that much fun. There doesn’t seem to be much room to maneuver.

While I personally enjoyed your commentary, if I’m honest I didn’t like the speeding up of the game play, but I like seeing how it all plays out in really time. So my final thoughts would be to upload two videos, the first would be just the raw steam of gameplay, and the second would be exactly like this one 😇. At any rate I appreciate your ability and time.

Everyone I see in the comments loves squadrons and would even love seeing more. Everyone I play with loves squadrons. Empire squadrons can be incredibly deadly to both ship and squadron... The quasar is not a weapons platform, but a squadron support platform. It would REALLY impress you with tie fighters and rhymer bubbled around it. I don’t understand your hate for squadrons and need to constantly remind us...

If the rebels could maneuver into a firing line along the flank of the SSD...

I am confused , does the ssd move like any other ship or it requires a nav? Better yet:must it move normally as all ships (but needs a nav to turn) or does it need a nav JUST to move at all?

Yes this was a great battle. I don't find the SSD as compelling to watch in BR as it is just so big and really seems to remove a lot of the strategy. I know it doesn't but it just FEELS like it does. It would be really fun to see an 800-1000 Sector Fleet Battle between a classic 'Rebel' Fleet vs a Classic 'Empire' one. Ie maybe the rebels only have one or maybe two big ships, lots of mid ships and a full quarter of points for squadrons but most of them Aces, and the Empire has Lots of Star Destoryers, and numerically a huge number of Ties but not that many aces. And also no Tie Defenders or 'werid' ships! Just an idea!

Hmm. Interesting POV on the "fighters slow the game down" thing. On the one hand it really wouldn't feel like SW without swarms of them, but OTOH they do seem to take a lot of time for their actual impact on the game. Have you ever tracked how much damage is coming from fighters versus ship guns in your games relative to the costs for each? I've played a lot of different rules over the years and the Armada approach of really needing your ships providing command control to get good use out of fighters seems like a clever innovation. Maybe the real problem is the level of detail on the fighters themselves? I can't think of any capital ship rules where the small craft aren't much, much more abstracted than here.

Good lordy, I haven't seen a table that cramped since...well, the last time I watched a 40K game at the local store. But you don't usually get this kind of traffic jam in starship games.

Haven't watched this video yet, but noticed the rebel fleet lacked more firepower against 1 SSDs and 4 SDs

Gotta use 3x9 play area. But that custom table can't accommodate that big of an area.

Thers no interdictor and the other star destroyer beside it same thing with the red star destroyer in the battle of endor good gameplay anyways

Imagine when it gets nice out and my channel can do stuff like this weekly I have a 9x9 foot battlefield and I have to say the biggest mistake of this game is these terrible shaped boards. 6x5 at a min or im not playing I need room to stretch me legs man

I think that 600-1400 point games would be a welcome site with house rules to keep squadrons no more than 120 points. Just to keep it moving and keep it what Crabbok suggested.. a fleet game, not a squadron based game.

SSD hard to take down please. give me one fighter and i got this :-D.
