For everyone playing this, please use in game coms and participate. Games go best when you have full squads rolling together, stay grouped with players that have green names as those are the players in your squad. Make sure everyone has something to cover each distances are be a squad that focuses on one thing like assault, lots of nades and smokes and ammo. For players that know the controls, always help new players. Upon the 1.0 release I encountered so many new players trying to learn the controls, helping new players is a good way to keep player retention and make player interactions more friendly and memorable. Arma is a sandbox, conflict adds an objective. Enjoy it your own way

Literally last night me and a group of eight players were defending Morton and I was the last one left. I was stuck in a building and actually defeated all the enemy combatants,but at what cost😂

if reforger is this good already imagine how arma 4 will be!

I wish there will be limit for living quarters buildings. Players building so many of them, so servers laging because of so many bots.. and it is impossible to capture a city

Carry 30-40 m203 he and your squad has 150 grenades you can launch onto the obj from over 250m range or even closer.Just overwelm them with firepower

We just disabled the small living quarters.

Looks very cool! I'll definitely give it a shot! I love first person in this game because of the excellent vehicle interiors but I often find myself using third person anyways because of how much better it is for situational awareness. This server will give me an excuse to go all in on first person. Excited to try it.

Best 22kb mod. Should be a server based options in default built, though. Maybe some speed and fatigue adjustments (plus a hundred more via ACEx mod ))

I want so much to play this game, all of it seems to be so immersive

Add roles/loadout presets like in Project Reality/Squad/Frontline mod, and this game will shine like never before! Forcing players to join squads to get better weapons, tools and stuff is a game changer! Wanna play solo? Have fun with your rifleman basic loadout!

People complain a lot about reforger these days but I find it to be awesome. There is some much to get out of reforger today. Every night I have to give it a go and see what is happening 😊

I have 2K hours in Arma3, I should get back into it. I remember when I first started I was meeting up with the most insane players. One guy was yelling at the top of his lungs at me "you idiot your gonna get us killed!" and had me running around in trenches while guiding me to my death As time went on I got pretty good and was getting with this group of regulars and it was fun times as the 2K hours shows. On point and cover your rear boys ALWAYS!!

Pretty good improvements. What is also direly needed is to limit the building of Barracks/Living Quarters in each base to basically 1, because that is abused a lot on public servers and it brings server performance down to 5 fps at times and glitches out driving vehicles. Also the 4 AI per barracks respawn like every 30s or so, which makes it very hard to clear and capture them unless you have overwhelming force. That may be not so difficult on "organized" sessions, but on public server that is a major pita besides the performance impact it has. Edit: I also feel that encumbrance/carry weight has little to no impact. So there is no real downside to players just packing a Machinegun and a RPG with 5 rockets in their backpack plus 1000 rounds of ammo and a flak vest, plus other equipment as long as it fits in your pockets. If BI or the mod would make the consequences of packing too much gear more severe it would give focus on what to pack for the task at hand and promote actual teamplay instead of just packing everything you possibly can for any task possible and Rambo-ing it on your own.

Hardcore lockups is all I get ever since they updated to 1.0. And packet loss. I wish they would fix this !

A arma player that hops in as pilot and doesnt know how to fly and puts on auto hover, a tale as old as time.

A limit on living quarters needs to be done and things on the map need to disappear after so long like it used to. With so many AI and items still rendered on the map, the servers just lag really bad and crash.

I'm not sure HC is needed right now and I have concerns it can split parts of the community while it's still building into something bigger. Reality is that most players still don't understand many of the features in the base conflict mode. Xbox friends especially struggle with just getting basic controls and actions. Which is not a judgement, I appreciate you guys just being a part of the fight. But the game is still finding its footing and building up. I agree that spawning systems can be abused and easily at that, but the game needs to double or triple it's player base for those to start being real issues. Not to mention Bohemia themselves I'm sure are looking at data. I'm happy just seeing people spawn in on a radio at all. To me that's a win.

Im fairly new to the game and some stuff isnt even mentioned in the game, like spawning on radio and other stuff. Also yes, the controls are not really new player friendly on controller, but with keyboard it is easier.

Learn weapon sounds. And weapon patters. Ai rifleman are easy to tell because of their single shots or short bursts. Learning the sounds of this game is an EWS(early warning system) in itself. The vehicles are very distinctive too as the jeep sounds a lot more torque heavy sounding, and the humvees and US trucks are diesel so they are also quite distinctive.

If you have toggle to aim on and ik a lot of people dont like it, you can zoom in from the hip without actually aiming which is what i use for target ID. Binos are nice but EXTREMELY circumstantial. Also AI wear red and black pattern camo which is easy to tell for me personally

Oh you said other than AI. Look for the shine on Soviet helmets and the green led on the back of the US helmet. US also has a proper ghille helmet where as Ru has a new netted helmet. The RU has a new pilot uniform thats camo but its a lighter camo pattern than the US camo. Other than that US vehicles and characters will be dark green where RU will be tan or olive

Its a reimagining of Operation Flashpoint for the new engine and takes place a few years after those events. No single player campaign, as this game is essentially a MP stress test for Arma 4.

It's anything you want it to be exept a half decent FPS I'm afraid. The problem with Arma is it does many things but none properly.

Looks like forced 1PP makes it a more intense experience, especially being a passenger in a vehicle. Although I gotta say, a “hardcore” server should definitely not have a kill feed.

I wanna see at least some dedication to the guys and gals out there who play single-player! Just so hopefully if I don't feel like trying to deal with other people in order to make an OP come to life! (Also, I heard they have "Random Civillian Vehicles added around the map" this makes me believe instead of trying to get people to use the 3den editor constantly trying so many lag-ish mods in order to make "Ambient Combat", "Ambient life" through module usage. So instead I have a hell of a feeling they may allow for options in the future for having Ambient stuff regarding scenarios in the main Game menu to *turn certain options on or off* logistics vehicles driving on roads, civvies walking, maybe talking in some capacity. I don't know, but if they EVEN GO AS FAR, as to have settings like that for Game Master, have it function like a pre-load/cached system in order for the Game Master to still be able to swap instantly from side to side of an island and have a lively world! Although if they had it to where stuff like that WON'T be editable, it may also save on performance terms.. therefor making the AI limit in GM make some proper sense! Have Civillians as an option, before loading up GM, having GM automate any maps/mods that contain maps, be an option to select in the main menu, and have side-menu options for the Ambient Civs, on or off, I'm just saying. I sometimes wonder with their powerhouse of an engine, if they WOULD do this!)

Some players just team kill. Alot of the time now its disorganized trying to get 32 players to act right. Havent played for hours like before the 1.0 update. It seemed better when it was just 16 or so players imo. Will proably join one of those milsim groups that try to recruit people now because its a mess on public.

I hate how the did the explosives in this game. You can hit a unarmored jeep with a rpg and it’ll keep going. Even with mods it’s not that good. Explosives are what win wars I sucks that they made them so weak in this game

I think they just released an update that addressed some of this the other day.

Hot take: ARMA's 3rd person should not be seen as an exploit, it should be seen as an extension of the players in-game situational awareness. If you're sitting at the corner of a house, it should be reasonable that you can listen and peek without fully exposing your head, or relying entirely on ingame sounds. Your player would hear idle chatter, the faint sound of uniforms swishing as an enemy walks around.

I think the only thing that sounds good about this mod is the radio backpack changes, but Bohemia already wants to make some changes to their system. Teleportation has be an awesome addition, infact, it needs to be made more obvious to noobs. Think what you will as a more dedicated player of the game, but when you're on a 100p server and 80 of the players are oblivious noobs, the teleport is essential in getting them into the fight without just "Re-deploying".

ARMA is not a platform. Enfusion is a platform. ARMA has an identity. It IS something. And that “something” IS being a REALISTIC MILITARY SIMULATOR. If it does not fall under those tags of identification IT IS NOT arma. Arma can not “be anything you want it to be” there are rules to what counts and what doesn’t. But Bohemia is counting on you not caring about that so they can do the least amount of work possible while pandering to the child, arcade crowd. It's more playable on PC than console. 1.0 basically nulled the server crashes. There isn't really a common server crash. When servers are force restarted it looks like a crash. I'm just not sure what you're talking about
