In other words, dont defend against the attack, ATTACK the attack to make the attack less attacky.

@@rjharrold2907 if someone sends knights to your base economy, its better to have your own force ready to raid your enemies base and force him to focus elsewhere rather than defend your base with 100% focus. Protect the base and be ready to attack the enemy in unexpected areas, not just directly oppose his offense. Touch his butt a little.

As a novice, I sense that sometimes it is hard for experts to know if their audience will understand what they are explaining. Guys, this video is so clear that I know it will help me understand some videos from others that were hard for me to follow. Really great job explaining options, and why they might work! Thanks!

I pull with a toprolling guy who’s rise and side pressure hit I cannot handle. Best results I’ve had are catching in a defensive hook, occasionally flop press. Thanks for the great content guys! ray you have done so much for the sport with this channel, even just helping get Janis’ wealth of knowledge and experience out for us to digest is a blessing. He says so much in so few words I’m only just beginning to be able to understand him.

Also, I’d love to hear him as a commentator during matches, his English is plenty good IMHO and he does such a good job explaining succinctly without pushing his bias.

Exact same situation with my friend as well. He's got longer arms than me and his toproll is really good so I can't match him with toproll but if I defensive hook I can consistently catch him and reel him back in since his arms are a bit weaker than mine.

The best thing I have learned, if you don't know specifically what they're doing, you need to be on the offensive so you can defend your post. You can't defend your post if you don't provide offensive strength to block their lanes. Sometimes even if you do defend strictly into one lane, they'll just move into another after they bleed you out. All in all, always be offensive.

I am a huge fan of you both ! Love you both . To me VOA has always been coach ray.. I mean the name ‘COACH’ Ray resonates with The VOICE OF ARMWRESTLING. However it’s just that Janis is very intrusive and interrupts Ray a lot to a point I don’t like seeing him in the videos . It’s just an opinion , and I didn’t want to upset anyone . And I’m still a huge fan of Janis ! Cheers and happy new year 🎉
