VENT POST:: I had a friend since we were in 2nd grade and in 7th I came out and told her that I’d been in love with her for years. She pushed me away saying she was straight and it made her uncomfortable. I respected her as she pushed me away. But years later her GIRLFRIEND comes to me and asks for advice. I give her the best advice I can give saying “leave your true feelings behind for her, and maybe then she’ll be happy”

@@ninkiminjaj2312 yes, I think there are hree different situation : the friend who seems to get back with that boy who doesn't treat her right, the best friend who kinda fell in love with her, the unfairness of the situation where the friend in relationship put some space and seems to forget her best friend while the best friend can't stand seeing her friend being with someone who doesn't take care of her.

Another nice song about this subject is From Afar by Vance Joy, lovely video clip as well. Definitely give it a watch!

Suddenly I'm transported back 40 years to the daily heartbreak of a close but straight friend who could never become who I wanted and how it ached when he found a girl he loved. It's still there, that pain. Sometimes it leaks out when I hear something as beautiful as this. (See also Robyn's Dancing On My Own.)

I hope Arlo will get the recognition she deserves

yap was first think i recogniced too, seems like the same chords but the progression is litte diffrent in rackoner it goes form up - down - down - allway up all way down ah fuck this 3-2-1-3-1- 3-2-1 ... and later its diffrent too...

I'll never forget this song when played minutes prior to Elizabeth II dies during BBC 1 radio.

Fell in love with my best friend at 13. She was the first girl I ever fell in love with. She was straight and it broke my heart I could never be with her. Her IDENTICAL TWIN SISTER was in love with me and knew I was in love with her sister. This is the music I wish I had going through those times.
