Arlo aint country he isnt the new outlaw generation. He just has real personal heartfelt songs. But is by no means trying to be country. Maybe unless u are from Portland then arlo could be considered country 🤔.

I can relate to this song. I ran far away from my hometown, the only place I knew after my heart and soul was ripped out of my chest and oddly enough I ended up in Tennessee. When I got here almost 3 years ago I was an absolute trainwreck, but I was slowly able to pick myself up and rebuild my life. I look back now and I'm thankful that I ran far away from that heartache, because I wouldn't be where and who I am today. The pain taught me that nobody is worth losing yourself over and that if someone is putting you through that much pain, they don't deserve you.

A hard lesson, is a good lesson to learn. None of us get through life without some dents, some rust, and a little less soul in our engine than we were.... That being said, the lessons we do learn define us. I am glad you found the most valuable person in your life all the time. If you love them as you would love someone else, you will be able to love someone else. Those that learned her leason, like me, you know of whom I speak of loving first. I made it to Nashville after moving to Tennessee for a woman. I'm still glad I stayed. I learned I'm stronger than I thought I was. I'm glad and happy that things are working out for you too!!

My dad passed away half a year ago and we often used to ride around in the car and just listen to music because that kind of was how we communicated. I listened to his voice memos today for the first time since his passing. And i listened to his music stick too and that's where i found this beautiful song. Thank you for making this. It has so many emotions and moves so many people

Preach. Got 2 myself and wife has severe mental disorder(diagnosed treatment resistant schizophrenic). She's here sometimes but I'm 150 miles from my home town where I'd have a support system. Can't move because I bought my home before we were married... If I sell and move she gets half... What's she gunna do with half of $200k in a mental facility... It's the worst waiting "game" I've ever played. Love her, but, she's lost. 😪

I would lose everything over mine being safe as much as my dad tries to make me a bad mom to get out child support after not raising them for 7 years. It's drowning but fight for your rights. This is the best singer song writer out there. You can feel the emotion and realism of the music. Don't change a thing.

Every time I drive threw Elmira my birth town reminds me of everything from addiction to my 3 years of alcoholism crack and coke and what ever I felt like taking that day and looking back at it. I'm glad I'm clean and out of NY. Hitched all the way to Florida. Never been on a train till then. And seeing the stars and the sounds of the tracks is calming when your going threw withdraws

Best damm song I've heard in quite awhile!

Reminds me of those Lindsey Wilson blues, boat dock dreams, and the day we ate breakfast with Greensburg’s finest and they charged us with breaking and entering of The Batesville Casket company even though they didn’t want to. I got visions in my head of lunch and a fist fight at the Proud of the South with chairs flying through the air and broken bones. That old feeling came back to me of how the Green River ran over our souls and cleansed the worries right out of us. And I remember my dear friend how much I miss you. Robert Hawkins I’m wishing you was still here!!!

I just recently discovered this musician. I love his music. I lived in Ohio for many years. My Grand daughter sent me an email with his song about Ohio. Brought back memories. Some good and some bad. Anyway, I am a new fan and will listen more songs.
