I have the original Arlo Go camera and it's great because I move it around.. ie. When my parents went on holidays I put it in their home instead of driving over every day to check that everything is OK. The security camera is great and has worked well since purchase about 3 years ago, but if I didn't have the ability to get a $0 monthly additional sim and share that data with my phone plan I don't think I could deal with the high monthly cost of upkeep and for that reason it's great that the new one has a wi-fi option. One additional feature I would ask for is a GPS tracking as if your house or campervan get ransacked then thieves will often steal cameras thinking that they need to be plugged into local wifi... They won't realise this has a mobile data and tracking your stolen items would be much easier.

I was reading an article about this camera and apparently it does have GPS location tracking built into it according to what I read.
I have ATT and they say they are moving to G4G5 and will not support G3/G4 What does ARLO GO use???

hoping this helps some ppl not waste 500 like i did. DO NOT BUY ARLO, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PRACTICALLY NON-EXISTENT. i bought a 3 pack of the pro 4's so i can only speak for that product line, awesome camera WHEN IT WORKS. i have amazing wifi connection and not matter what they are constantly disconnecting, and getting them to be rediscovered by your wifi is NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE. THIS IS A FLAWED PRODUCT AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Yes customer support is the worst I've ever used
Do NOT buy.. if you want to add your significant other arlo makes you pay $150 for them to be able to access the camera. Total rip off
$40 plus tax a month. No thanks!

No lady said I just add it on to my current plan its only 10$ extra a month per camera.
its complete junk!! got one it goes back tomorrow don't be sucked into this crap, oh and support is non existent, well at least here in the uk, it would not connect to my phone, network, or the cloud completely pointless rubbish, good idea but just doesn't work.
