ARKTIS B110 Combat Smock in OLIVE GREEN

store.arktis.co.uk
The B110 is a showerproof combat smock used by Special Forces & military units around the world. It hasn’t got a lining, but that doesn't mean it misses out on any of the critical features of an Arktis jacket. The smock is a fine performer for hot climates and with the right layers, cold climates too. The fabric is made from hardy 50/50 Ripstop, which is one of the toughest fabrics on the market. In the event your smock does get a tear or hole, the special cross-weave design prevents it from spreading. The Ripstop has a DWR finish so it’s shower-proof and the pockets are nylon-lined making them waterproof to the outside.

I love the look of OG. Good for the bush and not too tactical looking for around town!

Totally agree with you! I’ve been “Grey Man” testing this smock around town, dentist office, pizza place, stores…no one even gives it a second look.

Especially since civilian clothing has picked up a lot of the similar cuts and design cues of older field jackets in recent decades you just blend right in. I swear ive seen snowboarding jackets from Dakine/Columbia that look just like this.

Just bought oldschool B210 (circa 2013, with pertex lining) in olive. Can't wait to test it. Still don't know what to tell my wife...then again the wardrobe is so full of smock she may not notice...at least for a while...

@@VishnuZutaten haha nice! Your story sounds very similar to mine. My wife says, is that new? I say, nah I’ve had this for a while. One week is a while in my books lol 😂

For anyone wondering, I wear a XXL T-shirt and XXL long in Propper and Tru Spec. Based on the size chart on the Arktis B110 page, I ordered a 3XL which says is for 122 cm chest size which is 48". I usually wear 50-52" but heard these run big. I have a French gore-tex jacket which is 128L and slightly too big. Anyway, this smock in 3XL is waaaay too big for me. It fits like a 4XL or larger. I'm disappointed to say the least because it will cost at least $70 to send back from Canada.

Also, the size chart at the bottom of their website is different to the one on their B110 specific page. Use the one at the bottom of their site. I'm 6'3" 280 lbs for reference. I think the XL would have been better.

In the end, it cost me $80 to send the smock back to Arktis and they did not refund me the shipping cost or even address the issue. I feel they should reimburse the costs as their own website has misleading or contradictory information regarding sizing.

Arktis never replied for my questions on sizing and fabric properties. All I know is from the good ppl of internet. I think they sell mostly to the unifiormed services and don't necesarilly know how to deal with civillian client.

@@merc741 I’d pick up a Flecktarn Smock. Awesome in Fall season plus it is another great Woodland Camouflage. Mine is a B310 waterproof combat smock. Got mine a size larger so I can layer up for cold weather as well. Normally I’m a Large, but I get XL in smocks that I use in cold weather.

@@NorthwestScout That's a good shout, what would you say to buying a M81 smock over the Flecktarn one? When it comes to sizing I've noticed I had to downsize to a S which confused me as I usually buy M for most jackets. Maybe this will be different with the B310?

@@merc741 I just like lots of room. The M81 Smock is a good choice too. Good year round camouflage. M81 really does well even when there is snow out in a Woodland environment. The larger pattern on it does well in my opinion. You can’t go wrong at all with that choice.
