The CDM yacht that you're showing here is "Acala". It's a CDM Darwin 102. Not an 86. There is an 86 for sale right now that I believe is a 2018, it has the C12 Caterpillars and according to the write up if the speed is cut to 8.5 knots it'll do 7000nm as well.

Arksen 85 would be my choice, safety and redundancy systems that surpass commercial standards plus the advantages of a hybrid system make it the clear winner.

The Arksen can give right across the Pacific on a single tank, no? :o But the Darwin seems more luxurious. If I'm spending weeks on a boat, I'd rather have something more comfortable - that being said, the Arksen can survive a rogue wave, and right itself :/

I guess when you’re in the middle of an ocean safety wins over comfort! I imagine the Darwin would be ok if you managed to shut all the bulkhead doors in time, at least you will be upside down in luxury! 😂

@@outandabout-tv HAHA you make an excellent point. I suppose I wish the Arksen were a _little_ wider, the cabins look very "snug". But you're dead right. When you're 500+ miles from any land, I'd rather stay afloat. You made my fantasy decision much easier for me lol
