this feels like falling into a dark, never ending, unescapable abyss of guilt, fear, dread, and pain. like you’re drowning in it and your soul is with almost no oxygen left. your screaming but no one hears. that long drawn out sirenish noise is like your soul dropping. but in a sense it’s comforting also deceitful and evil though. you want it to stop but it won’t.

I was in Japan when it happened, and my Japanese friend explained yin and yang to me. POV: you're in an abandoned, rusted old city with 80's technology and cars and everything. You are one of the few survivors of a nuclear disaster. The buildings are bloody, abandoned, covered in fallout, and corpses are everywhere. The sky is dusty and full of haze yet it is also overcast with dark, miserable clouds as if it were almost night. You have a gas mask and backpack on, carrying your few items as you're traveling through the depressing city to go to a happier, cleaner, and functional city. The telephone lines are everywhere, some torn down, and you find a dirt-covered, radiation-infested, abandoned school bus that still happens to operate well, despite the broken windows, torn, foamy seats, and smashed and dented metal pieces of the large vehicle. You travel the dark area, with the traffic lights still on, despite any other cars being present. You avoid the few remaining humans, who happen to either be rapists, murderers, or just overall jerks. There are also scary illusions of demons, creatures you'd see in a dream or an episode of paranoia in the middle of a sleepless night. The entire inclusion zone looks like what a human could see in a schizophrenic episode. You explore abandoned churches, schools, daycare places, and even mental and regular hospitals. You explore old, littered Victorian houses, apartments, water parks, and amusement parks. Animatronics are torn, tattered, and rusted underwater, which could give you the feeling of submechaniphobia. In some houses, you see vintage, old rocking chairs, old plushes and toys, and thick, large curtains covering the windows, which gives you this chilling, oddly nostalgic childhood feeling. You continue to travel the mangled vicinity in your bus until you stop and leave the vehicle to look at a beautiful sunset. Clouds on that side are finally disappearing, and everything that was known as horrific suddenly becomes beautiful. You become awash with memories that flood your body with a euphoric, faithful feeling. You then realize that it's all an illusion, as you wake up in a beautiful, scenic meadow. No people or noise accept for the chirping birds. You see an eternal field of bright green grass and flowers, swaying in the warm breeze. It is bright and sunny, and the sky is a beautiful, bright blue with little white puffs that could barely even be considered clouds. There are mountains, rivers, and valleys, and you come to realize that you are blissful, and peaceful.

Since I like reading people's examples of how they feel when listening to this song, I'll make my own and see if anyone can relate. For me it feels like sitting on a mattress in an empty apartment that only has that blue tint that every morning or night has, basically dusk or dawn. For me it's usually darker outside so I'm guessing the sun is going down. It's like I sit there for hours and stare at the front door like I'm waiting for someone but at the same time I'm scared of anyone who comes through the door. The air is hard to breathe like water but it's the most refreshing thing. Everything feels soft at the touch but when the beat hits it's like I feel the hardness of the wooden floor even if I'm not touching it. The world just hits me with reality and it's scary but at the same time very calming like if you were to meet mother nature or God. I feel scared of something bigger than me but I just know something is right, that I'm safe and at home. At the same time it feels like I'm standing at the front of a crime scene in an ally at night. The yellow caution tape is there, yet it feels like the crime hasn't been discovered yet. I just stand there realizing how cruel the world can be but I don't get sad because I feel a sense of normality in it. Like saying "This has happened before. Nothing has changed. Nothing will change. It will happen again." It also feels like the world is going in slow motion or I'm falling through space. It feels like waking up at 5 in the morning and just laying there when you know you have nothing to do that day and you can sleep in but you're happy not sleeping. It like an oxymoron of feelings. You feel something and at the same time the complete opposite of that feeling.

When I listen to the slowed version of this song, I feel alone but kinda calm? It also makes me feel a good darkness and cold.

Nothing like listening to sad music while cleaning under my bed on a very windy day,to remember the old and the new,all while recovering from covid.... Music just hits different nowadays. Like I’ve found year books from elementary school,when school was peaceful and fun,and I wasn’t so stressed and bullied that I became homeschooled just to get away from it all. I’ve found old books that I destroyed when I was young, and even though I’m still young now,I appreciate books more and don’t wreck them. I’ve found old toys that I’ve kept and hoarded,even though I don’t use them,I like to keep the memories. I’ve even found some things I haven’t used yet,like some bead embroidery kits,or old packs of stickers. ....All that being said,I’m still only in my early teens,but appreciate the good childhood memories while you can,make your youth last.

This feels like what drowning would probably feel like. The water filling your lungs as you slowly stop struggling, accepting your faith as the world around you falls dark, empty, soulless. You take your last breath before becoming one with the sea

i always find myself coming back to this video every once and a while and just look outside my window and night. it might sound stupid but it’s so calming and peaceful. makes me feel kinda empty and alone but i like it.

Don’t you every just look back at the times where you had joy and it felt like you were in the moment at all times... it seemed so everlasting that it looked like it wouldn’t go away... Damn I hardly even remember when’s the last time I actually had the time of my life. when you least expect it... the stuff you never took for granted just disappears right before you......

This song got me through so much but due to that, whenever i listen to it now, i feel a chill or a haunting feeling whenever i listen to this. It reminds me of the countless nights I'd spend crying alone to myself but at least it calmed me down

This song makes me think how my childhood and past ended too soon and fast

Makes me wish I could go back in time. I feel such bittersweet nostalgia when I hear this song. Makes me wanna re-live everything.

To me, the whole image and song together reminds me of the leading point to an anxiety or panic attack and then the actual attack it’s self. For me, anxiety/panic attacks feel like I I’m trying to grab something- someone, just reaching for that hope or happiness or a calm feeling or grounding myself, that would represent the light Star(the person in the image) is trying to swim for. But eventually you end up drowning in fear stress and anxiety, the drowning also represents how hard it can be to breath sometimes. The water can also represent all of the over thinking and fears that could trigger it. The drowning can also resemble me drowning in my suicidal thoughts. Again!! This is just how my anxiety attacks feel like, there’s a lot more but that’s just how I feel the image describes how I feel and the kind of vibes I get.
